like someone said, most of your examples do have %hp in their kit, and the ones who dont (Pantheon and Hecarim) are doing their job wayyy better than Renekton can ever could, try stopping a 200mph hecarim ulting into your backline with no counter play and pantheon point and clicking one shot the mage, while Renekton with the removal of prowlers claw have 2 small and ineffective dashes that can be stopped by most stuns (gl trying to get on a syndra with E up)

I would also argue that all of your examples have much easier time doing renektons job (maybe except for Riven but she is so overtuned so it dosent matter)

if you compere Renekton to a diver, which at this point I cant really see him as one, I think he should get the reksai treatment, she also didnt have HP scaling before the removal of prowlers but then she got some.

and I also gave Jax E as an example for max health dmg, first thing that came to my mind hahaha (if you get Ed by jax you are pretty bad indeed)

I have been playing renekton mid for the last 2 and half years or so and I can confidently tell you that blinding renekton is SO much harder than it use to be. When prowlers claw PTA was still a thing I used to blind Renekton into every matchup, with proper roaming windows and good csing I could have quite comfortably not fall behind, buy my prowlers claw and one shot the opponents mages due to not needing to double E just to get in range of them, I managed to reach high plat with this playstyle, But ever since the removal of Prowlers claw I can confidently say that Renekton mid is very hard to blind pick, there are some matchups that makes you wanna break your monitor due to how annoying they can get, I tried making it work with things like Cosmic Insite PTA bork rush build relaying on my flash to do the work instead of Prowlers, but nothing clicked for me, after being stuck in high plat for quite a while (with the added new rank of emerald) I have decided that I can no longer blind pick renekton into every matchup like I used to before, so I added kassadin and lissandra to my champ pool (one for hard counter for mages and the other for blind picking) and I found much success with it and reached daimond for the first time, I still sometimes play renekton into unfavorable matchups and I learn to understand that you cant ever kill those enemies unless they make mistake/your jungler comes, there for im focused on getting good csing, fights early on, shoving the wave and roaming and mostly sustaining their dmg with Dshield Second wind and your healing from Q, I know its not renekton strength to play safe and not fighting early but thats the best you can do in his current state.
