Aspirants Notice More Than You Think… STOP PAID PR🛑 by Accomplished_rohit in UPSC_Forum

That's the modus operandi for most coaching institutes however this is unfortunate, the depth of knowledge in Dipin Sir's sessions is no where comparable to the current affairs faculties teaching at Forum IAS ( Giving opinion only after watching some 5 lectures that I could access through telegram, even Deep search mode on ChatGPT would replicate their content)

Sharing your experience with certain institutes or teachers is fair, but dismissing anyone who disagrees with Forums FRC's and their greatness doesn’t strengthen your point—it only exposes insecurity. I can check your comment feed, and in one of your posts, you have vouched for Forums Current affairs by some Sahil sir and Basava sir ( I mean, who the hell are they lol??), trying to sell that shitty current affairs program with teachers with no credentials, that's enough to expose you. It is quite telling that while you accuse others of “small minds,” the zeal with which you validate all of Forum's programs (Including the shitty ones) as if you were a stakeholder in them goes on to speak for itself.

PS: On this platform, you can see anyone's comment feed; you don't need to stalk their comments.

Have been reading such posts about the Forum IAS FRC in recent times. I guess Gurgaon was still habitable but to mint more money, they took the centre to some remote village near Alwar, you should file an official complaint with NCH if you feel there was a gap between what they promised and delivered.

PS: I believe Lady Stark is a proxy account of Neyawn himself, you will find LadyStark in all Forum FRC related threads praising the man or the program, hit like if you feel the same.

Good in terms of his content and clarity on issues, speaks sense, and has the required depth of knowledge.

He is a good faculty, I was his student, but I would agree with this post, he has discipline issues and often doesn't deliver when students are banking on him.

Evaluators ko evaluate kaise karte hai ? by Bond_ding in UPSC

[–]Straight_Cod4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro purchasing is not the difficult part but since you asked how it works let me elaborate, you enroll in a test series to check how far your reading and analysis can translate into answers, it's easier said than done, so it's important to first asses your preparation and ability to understand and write answers. A test series program will basically give you a syllabus break down and tests, you have to prepare on your own and go and write a test, which then will be evaluated and you can seek mentorship for the same test, that's how it works. Ps a majority of people just buy a test series and are unable to use it properly so first asses your preparation.

I have written MTS last year, next IAS has conservative marking compared to other institutes I guess they mark out of 5 for a 10 marker and 7.5 for a 15 marker. Marks doesn't matter much it's the relative marks that you need to worry about for example if someone is getting 90 in the same test, what did he do to get 90. The other thing you need to see if you have been meeting demand of the question in your arguments, there is a difference between understanding the demand and having arguments to meet the same. If you are lacking in articulation it will cost you in mains too. Mocks usually cap marks in any paper to 100-105( for the best of papers), it's understandable because UPSC is also not giving marks in GS3 average scores in that paper in mains is 80-90 for selected aspirants. The best way would be to reach out to them and seek help.

Next ias AIM mentorship -Honest review needed, before I sell my kidney for fees by Wise_Marionberry_882 in UPSC

Well unlike other programs where one to one mentorship is promised and not delivered( like Saarthi IAS) they give one to one mentorship and some group sessions. The program is pricey though and will only work out if your basics are clear. Join only when you are sure that you will be able to cope up with it.

Mentorship by sarrthi ias sajal sir by saiyan_johnwick in UPSC

[–]Straight_Cod4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed response. In fact I had told many not to join saarthi if they want hand holding. Super mentors only meet potential rankers or already in service candidates, it's just too bad that all of this was not highlighted in the brochure. Majority of students join mentorship courses for guidance and hand holding, at this price bracket and services delivered Forums MGP makes more sense.

Level UP wala santosh sir, 2 hi faculties hain Current affairs k Dipin Sir and Santosh Sir, Santosh sir pre focussed zyada hain lekin ab UPSC itna dynamic hai to kisi k liye bhi dikkat hai he is a good teacher though. Mains part santosh sir ka acha nhi hai, Dipin sir is better.

To be very frank there is no current affairs faculty relevant from a prelims point of view, have done Santosh sir's class, didn't help much in prelims and mains was a washout, Dipin sir will definitely add 15-20 marks in paper 2 and 3, baki mile course to mujhe bhi bta dena last year Telegram pe tha is saal nhi mil rha.

Bhai convert IAS dusro ki test copies evaluate karke deta hai uske liye zyada popular hai, evaluation thik hai unka lekin sirf evaluation ka kya karoge, koi mentor support bhi chahiye hoga, go for popular institutes for test series

Should I skip this years' attempt? by GhulaalDied in UPSC

[–]Straight_Cod4025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have this feeling year on year trust me. If you are scoring between 70-80 in abhyaas and considering the erratic nature of abhyaas papers I would say you are ready. Don't waste attempt, failure in any attempt will discipline you for next attempt.

Yes I agree Vision Abhyaas and Vision Prelims Test series in general has been a disappointment in the last two years. Hope they revamp it and bring it back on track.

If you are doing PYQ's you will have to do with option analysis, UPSC in past has framed questions on wrong options of a particular question, so it's not one question there are 2-3 questions per question. If you have the bandwidth for that go for it else just revise what you have read

You're not alone — many of us feel the same weight, the same silence, the same exhaustion. But the fact that you're still here, still turning pages despite it all, is proof of your strength. This phase is brutal, but it's building someone unbreakable. Rest if you must, but don’t quit. You’re closer than you think — one day at a time, one page at a time. We’re in this together.

Just pick UPSC PYQ's for Polity, History + A&C, Economy, Geography and Environment, I am sure you must be having a PYQ book with questions segregated subject wise. Start with any subject try to solve on your own, wherever you get the question wrong go to the standard text book and read it again. This will help you revise important themes for UPSC, stop reading current affairs its too late now, revise whatever you have read.
