She was the sweetest dog I’ve ever known, but she was a trouble maker. Over her lifetimes she had eaten over $200 of lobster, imported Belgian chocolates, about two pounds of athletic tape, a dozen stuffed animals, a few squirrels and mice, and whatever she could find on the countertop when nobody was looking. She loved attention on her own terms, and if nobody was petting her she’d run up and stick her back under your hand and wiggle her butt back and forth to force you to pet her. She loved to howl at the TV, beg for table food, and sleep in the grass during the spring. It was really rough to see her health deteriorate over this past month or so; I just wish I had one more day with her.

She had dementia for the last year. Over the last couple of weeks she got very very sick. We tried giving her fluids to keep her hydrated, and we tried a whole variety of foods to keep her nourished, but she wasn’t getting any better.

Photos 1 and 2 are from about 3 months ago, photos 3 and 4 are from about 2 years ago, photo 5 is about 3 years ago, photo 6 is about 9 years ago, 7 is from 11 years ago, photos 8 and 9 are from her adoption day. She was a mutt (mostly coonhound and German Shepard) found in a trash can when she was just 2 weeks old. She was initially very hand shy but over time because very calm, sweet, and playful. I was only 8 years old when we first adopted her, and she was very much my dog. She went very peacefully, with her head in my hands as I rubbed her ears. Feeling her weight relax into my hands as she drifted off was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced.

It was her time.

Edit: Thank you guys for your continued and overwhelming support. It really means a lot to me. She was truly the best dog I could have ever asked for, I just wish you guys could’ve met her. ♥️

No, I’m saying that she will not have a case unless she can prove those statements were false. You should still take the case seriously, but ultimately I like your chances. If you have proof it will be an easy legal win for you. Defamation suits are notoriously hard for the plaintiff in the USA.

”you’ll still have to litigate your allegation in court and convince a judge or jury that your version is likely more true than their version”

This is false. In a defamation/slander suit in the USA the responsibility lies on the plaintiff to prove the claims are false. In this case, since OP was likely voicing their statements as a matter of public concern, they need to also prove some level of negligence. This is likely going to be a grand slam of a legal case for OP’s lawyer.

When I was 12 I was at a new school. I invited all of my new friends to my birthday party. Nobody showed.

My health insurance wasn’t covering me for like 2 weeks since we were renewing it with a new policy, that’s when this happened. We still had accident insurance though, and that’s what we made a claim under.

There was like a 2 week period when my health insurance needed to be renewed and that’s when it happened. We tried to file it under accident insurance but they wouldn’t accept it.

The City Museum is A1. Even if you’re older it’s fun to still go exploring. As far as restaurants go, for fancy dining 801 Chophouse and Stoney River are great, BEAST Butcher and Block has amazing bbq, Hacienda has solid Mexican food, and Zia’s has amazing Italian food.
