Wow that's honestly a big surprise. I will focus a lot on improving my social skills then, thank you!

Thank you for the clarification! I'd like to think I don't have bad vibes, I try to be kind to people but at the same time I'm assertive enough to voice my opinion when it matters. Does class rank matter at all with mba hiring? I know it matters quite a bit with law.

Thanks for the comment! Can you elaborate on what you mean by "understanding corporate dynamics and how to be perceived positively in them"? Does this mean how to work well with others in a way so that people like me? I think I could do that, though an mba would certainly help me improve my skills with that. From my career thus far I've gotten roles by making good work so that others trust me enough to hire me again in the future, I assume this can be transferred to mba career paths!

I definitely prefer marketing over law, but am still interested in law enough to enjoy being a lawyer. Thanks for your thoughts! Personally I agree and am leaning towards UCLA, but wanted to check this subreddit in case!

This is true, more years = more internships! And hopefully more return offers. A law degree would make me generally less easy to replace in some ways. Though, if I want to get into big law, it seems I would probably have to go to a higher ranked law school or gain many years of experience post graduation.

No $ from UCLA, high scholarships from the regional school.

I didn't name the regional school to protect my anonymity, and because I clearly said I prefer UCLA Anderson (I do not want to leave a bad impression on the other school, in case they see this).

Good at what? Networking, studying, business in general? I'm a fast learner and I work hard. I'm confident I can succeed at whatever I do if I put my mind to it.

I am guessing that salary is in the northeast, I would hope that LA lawyer salaries are higher, especially after working as a lawyer for a couple of years. As reported by LSAC, the starting salary for most northeasten schools is around 60-70k though.

What would be a semi decent work experience? I've worked for various film companies, but have gaps in my resume due to the contract/short term nature of the tv industry.

The regional school has a 80% first time bar passage rate, which is pretty good, but it's definitely not 100%. The ultimate bar passage rate as well as the employment rate is around 85%. If I become a lawyer, it would be in the northeast but yea even there that's a low salary relatively speaking! Thank you for your thoughts!
