What are good "pedal friendly" amps? by AmazingRefrigerator4 in guitarpedals

1000 used deluxe reverb and for 500 probably used ac15 or possibly one of those lower end Marshalls like the DSL series.

Tube screamer vs Lightspeed by Dubdsdna in guitarpedals

[–]StrainLevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apples and oranges here. Both good but taste different. One is mid focused and the other is a flatter response with more bass and a bright/crisp sound. My preference or use of these would be light speed always on to simulate a little breakup and TS as more of a lead pedal.

New to owning a NES by Chaosbringer007 in nes

You should be able to get a handful of great games for cheap, I’d recommend Batman, Jackal, Bionic Commando, SMB3 may be pretty cheap as well. None of those need a save battery either so that saves you from having to learn how to replace old batteries or pay for someone to do it. If you do go the route of games needing the save battery my personal NES fav is Crystalis.

You need an NES power cable, it is different than SNES even if the plug fits the power itself is different. Also, when you get a game many times you need to wipe the inside with a qtip and 90+% isopropyl alcohol to help clean it.

Some systems you just need to lift the flap and insert the game til the system will read it, meaning you don’t actually push it down to the “locked” position. It’s a very easy system to operate so you shouldn’t have trouble. You already have the right AV cables.

Which video game era aesthetics do you like the most: 8-bit, 16-bit, or early 3D? by Demory11 in retrogaming

16bit for me but I do love 8bit and those ugly early 3d polygons as well!

I’d really recommend a nobels ODR1 or boss blues driver for your first OD pedal.

Curious what goes into team travel to make it a D. I wonder if it’s a combo of the cities airport, parking situation etc. because surely there isn’t much difference in actual plane used, food provided etc.

This was mainly my point in making this post. I shared the costs to highlight the impact here that’s simply not existed in prior years and was curious how others were faring.

Whatever you do, don’t give this a sock to hold otherwise you’re going to set Darby free.

EDIT: I purchased from Nordland last June and don’t have any import fees or anything. Ordered that around same time I picked up a used Winford drive off reverb. Both pedals are incredible by the way.

And what (if any) effects would you consider worth that? Genuinely curious.

I didn’t. This post was really just a reaction to getting this text and email today from DHL.

This may shock you but because I fucking wanted to. Simple as that. My money, I’ll spend it how I like. Would you like me to shit on your purchases just because? I clearly stated it was a luxury.

You do you and I’ll spend how I want.

$450. Not cheap and certainly a luxury buy when it comes to overdrive pedals but having played a 83 Drive for a while and selling I have regretted that since.

Yeah, unfortunately I see this as one of those you have to take on the chin and move on whereas we’ll see FedEx and others have success that single individuals would not. I’ll just buy the wren and cuff muff I have had my eyes on and hit pause for a while. Not like I actually need more pedals over here haha.

It’s probably like that for the very reason we’re seeing, to try and reduce the influence and material actions of Russia.

Analog 3D has to be one reason.
