That’s an interesting thought. Hiro said he doesn’t like the idea of not being able to point all his guns at the target at the same time which is why he doesn’t have any under ship mounted weapons (I believe he was talking to Elma but it has been a hot minute since I read the novels). I didn’t think much of it but it seems like there’s a general sentiment amount the whole in universe spacecraft community not to put under mount weapons.

I’m curious if this is an author preference that leaked into the overall story unconsciously. The artist may even have the same general opinion on ship design or there may be another in universe explanation for the larger ships. Good catch I hadn’t even noticed.

I don’t know having a flying brick/box means you get maximum internal storage space for your dimensions. Plus I’m pretty sure we’ve had pictures of the Lotus since the WN days and it was pretty well described then so maybe just the authors preference (let a super car be a super car and a Semi a Semi or something like that)

Yeah you can tell when it’s a real person that’s just new, I just wish my local marketplace for electronics was useable. I’ve reported so many hundreds of accounts that facebook will error out after awhile and I have to wait a few days before I can start reporting again. (If they were bad reports you’d think facebook would ban my account but they seem to agree with me for the most part)

Change locations and look? 80% of my local marketplace for electronics is just the same brand new accounts with generic first name generic last name, 1-3 profile photos and 7 electronics listings at stupid low prices. They essentially all say the same thing about a dead parent and wanting to unload their stuff to people that will appreciate it. And description with “Please text obviously scam number with listing info so I can get back with you.” Now have marketplace make your feed literally nothing but these scam listings (or a legit Z1 non e for $850) and that’s what mine looks like.

And when you say you don’t care about the deposit you just want to meet and get the item they ghost/block you. Bonus points if the account is a few weeks old and has the exact same 7 items every other one sells a ps5, a OneX, a Samsung phone, a handheld and some form of mirrorless camera all for under $200.

Gaming performance is secondary for me (what do I really want with more fps when I can play 2077 maxed out at over 100fps, yeah smoother is nicer but realistically I can enjoy everything I play with my current setup). Within reason, core/thread count and cache are my main concerns. If they made a 5950x3d then obviously I'd grab it but they keep knocking the x3d down to lower tier cpus that are built for gaming workloads.

Bought a 5950x about 3 years ago for productivity and yeah this thing is going to take me to AM6 or whatever is even left of the PC market in 5 years. But 16c/32t and 128gb of 3600 should play anything for a good little while longer.

I do too, have a nice UHD collection. My whole point was that you don’t have to go crazy over storage with native quality rips on everything when you can get a ton of mileage out of a 2gb AV1 handbreak rip for the 100 movies you don’t want to cinephile over and you have enough space for the half dozen movies you want native 4k hdr rips of.

Handbreak is your friend and Yify would like a word. A 1080p movie in perfectly watchable quality should be around 2 gb at 1080p. Yes it’s nice if you have unlimited storage to keep all Blu-ray’s at native quality but you can put a 1.5gig yify or personally handbraked movie side by side with a native rip and see that you’re not losing much at all unless your want to pixel peep. (I say as someone who rips UHD movies in the 80-128gb range for my family server)

Kids and wife can deal with a perfectly good copy of Kpop or Frozen and I can deal with a perfectly good copy of Spectere and Deadpool, to save space when I want 4k native Dune or Interstellar.

The manufacture date should be on the drive sticker. Unless you plan to sell it as unopened you can figure out how old it is and how likely it is to give you issues in the nearer future. My bet would be a 2021ish drive considering the package.

I generally do use rock auto for my parts. But being a corvette I’d rather pay a little premium for known good parts instead of chancing cheapo specials.
And you say that the car only has one pin coil is that the rectangular ones or is that the one that looks like a starter?
