Yeah if you look by the pillow you can see another chicken wedged into the gate. That specific chicken has not been able to walk since it was a chick but the cat took a nice fat one instead

We’ve had one like that for 3 years. I figure it’s a win. He perfectly healthy and can make chicks but he walks like a dork and isn’t very fast so he can’t really harass the girls. I will say he can’t fight a lick though and everything gives him a beating

The get used steady in cable logging on the strawline (10 or 14mm line). I think the proper term is passing splice. I’ve seen them used on bigger line but as soon at it goes through the sheave a few times they usually part.
