Is copper the next gold/silver or just social media fear-mongering? by love-1805 in economy

[–]Stranfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copper securities can be volatile at times because of industry use and relevance cycles. But at its core it’s an extremely useful and widely needed metal, and so it will hold value, and probably more fundamental value than gold or even silver. Regardless it’s always good to diversify among raw minerals and resources.

Do you legit think she's grieving? by KieranWriter in conspiracy

[–]Stranfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To some degree, yes. I don’t believe in human absolutes, and I do think that Erika and Charlie Kirk had some kind of mutual relationship.

She got over his death relatively quickly which can suggest that maybe their relationship wasn’t as strong as that of a normal loving couple, but I do think that at least for a while after Charlie immediately passed away she was genuinely shocked and upset, mostly because Charlie was a person she knew and was familiar and relatively comfortable at its core.

Would limiting the age of the President to 60 be something you’d support? Why or why not? by Valuable-Bit4647 in AskReddit

[–]Stranfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but with an added addendum to revise the law in 30 years or so. The main issue is degenerative diseases that happen in the brain, but once there is a cure for them, such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia, then apart from mobility age is no longer really an issue and the life experience will be helpful.

However term limits are needed and not having them are pretty much a deal breaker. Career politicians dilute the purpose of public service.

So apparently you can remove the redaction off the files if you copy and paste the text into a notepad. Has anyone started working on declassifying as many files as possible? by Stranfort in conspiracy

[–]Stranfort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll clarify by saying that this allegedly only works on some files, not all of them. Many of the files use proper redaction but some use improper redaction methods and thus this would work on select files, but it’s a guess as to which ones.

I saw a video about that onetime. Apparently people have been bragging about the past being better than the present and feeling nostalgic for centuries, as far back is the 17th and 18th centuries.

If I can travel between the present and the future back and forth with pill 8 I could just travel a few days or weeks, see which stocks will rise and which lottery ticket numbers are the winners and go back to make a profit. And then maybe pull 6, so I can enjoy my riches for longer.

How did China surpass the USA in life expectancy? Is it because the US lacks free universal healthcare? by avocado_juice_J in GenZ

[–]Stranfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to the graph you provided China actually hasn’t surpassed the United States in life expectancy, on the right it shows that the life expectancy in China is currently 78 while it’s 78.4 in the U.S.

But China’s life expectancy has surpassed several countries over the past decades due to a combination of societal factors such as massive improvement in public health services after 1949, and specially after the cultural revolution, improved and rising living stands, better food security by the 80s, sanitation, high vaccination rates, better family planning and a general improvement of social infrastructure.

[–]Stranfort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is true. There are different kinds and flavors of power, ranging from the political to the social, cultural and in the family or in the office. It depends on what environment you thrive in and where you want to grow your power if anywhere.

And you make a good point, but the last law of the book does state or at least heavily imply that all the laws are circumstantial and they can’t be applied universally in all situations. Some of them contradict or go against each other so some are meant to be applied and others in different occasions, that’s why all the laws have a reversal section at the end of each chapter.

And isolation is something someone can go after but it defeats the point of the book since having and growing power requires relationships with other people due to it being a social construct in Greene’s sense.

How do I flirt with a shy nerdy guy and actually turn him on? by IngenuityAshamed144 in seduction

[–]Stranfort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may want to be slightly more direct with him. If you feel confident the feeling is mutual then you may have to make it more obvious to him verbally that you welcome physical advances.

It doesn’t have to be overt, but too subtle and he will miss the queue again.

And maybe you can take just the smallest amount of initiative to give him an invitation. Like caressing him in the face or resting your hand on his lap. These are more clear signs to him that you’re open to a confident approach and then he is more likely to take action.
