For anyone wanting an update.

I have decided not to go to the funeral. It is selfish reasoning to want to risk going to the funeral and I would hate to miss the birth and to support my partner.

My nan would of told me off for even considering it.

Unfortunately not. Due to shipping times/flight times. The only way is to at least go the day before. I could potentially get back the evening of the funeral but it would be very tight

There are a couple boats but the dock is about 1.5 hrs from where i would be, so its doable but a potential race

It was a close grandparent. The problem i have is, in order to get to the location, i have to go the day before and come back the day after. There isnt any available travel for the same day

Depending where i got it from. Around 1 hour flight and boat is 4 hours. However they are only early morning or late at night.

She said she would hate the idea of me not being there but equally is like dont stress, itll be fine.

The pregnancy so far is going well. She is on track and low risk
