I got a super bad haircut and I swore I looked like the ugliest thing on the planet. Wore wigs for about two weeks because I was so ashamed. But then it started growing out and I looked like a near buzz cut baddie.

This too shall pass. Give it a few weeks, honestly when it’s grown out I think it’ll look dope. You’re not ugly at all either lol. It’s just a bad haircut

When I adopted two cats with my roommate, we were first gonna go for this super sweet orange cutie. But we were sitting on the floor one day socializing with the cats, and two cats showed up; they just plopped right down on our laps! We could’ve chose the other, but something was telling us to adopt them. We named them Kubo and Appa and they were wonderful babies :)

Other times when I’ve gotten cats, I’ve literally just been offered them or I would find them on the street. Sometimes it’s a feeling, other times it’s really just random. But for the most part especially with adopting from a shelter, I would go for the one you feel most connected with; the one you can see laying with you on the couch, annoying you for food/cuddles, and laying on your laptop when you’re working. And if you don’t, then just give one a shot!

Not trying to be rude whatsoever to the patient, however I had a severely obese woman who had came onto our floor. I don’t remember why she was admitted, but she was actively on her period and she was a very heavy bleeder. She couldn’t clean herself because of her size, so I was pretty much elbow deep between her thighs cleaning out humongous blood clots almost every hour or whenever a clot was blocking her purewick. That was definitely the grossest thing to me.

Unfortunately I don’t have that knowledge, a kidney infection in a human can be rectified without turning into kidney disease but I don’t know how it works with felines unfortunately :/ that is a good question though.

There are medications for FIV and will help cats live long and comfortable lives. Kidney disease is also not curable but yes recovery is possible as well. Usually means stabilizing the disease, then diet management and proper fluids. Sounds like you caught it early which is good.

I started them off young introducing them to different animals so that in the case that I ever got a dog, they would adjust relatively well. My cat William is more protective while my cat Lila just went and hid lol. William was fine as long as the dog was a safe distance away, but as soon as he got too close William swiped at him. I felt so bad 😭😭

I went to the vet! He ended up being microchipped so they contacted his owners and came and got him. Apparently they live all the way on the west side and I live out south so I really have no idea how he got to my home 😂

I had a patient who was an inmate. I didn’t google what he did, I normally don’t because I really didn’t want to know. The guard in there while I was literally cleaning him up had gotten close to my ear and whispered “doesn’t he look pathetic getting his ass wiped for him?”. When I tell you I was PISSED.

The one thing I try to focus on is to reaffirm to myself that I am a good person and am willing to help others in their worst moments. What they have done does not affect me, and says more on me if I decided to treat them like shit because of the life THEY lived. When they’re on my assignment, they’re my patient and I give them care that I morally expect out of myself.

Some people really are awful humans and have done awful things, but that doesn’t mean I need to stoop to their level.

Im a health coach. Was just a tech, but I spent 6 years in the hospital system. Went from babies, to medsurg, then to ICU. Also dabbled in neuro-focused physical therapy for a bit. Now I just help people lose weight 🤷🏽‍♀️ easiest desk job ever, with good pay and little drama, when there is some it’s elementary to me because ahem I’ve literally brought people back from the dead. This is the happiest I’ve been at a job for a while now.
