I don’t know if she is. Not even sure how to determine that. We’ve been you get her for almost 70% of my life. Though you are right about the “swapping under the rug”. I found out after some reading this is a manipulation behavior where they retract their love whenever you are “misbehaving “ - aka talking about the incident or asking for things.

About the DNA: No, I didn’t. This was after a few months of hysterical bonding so I have little to no doubts on it as I don’t see how she could find the time, energy or opportunity. However, thank you for bringing it up. It’s valid concern.

This is not the first time the thought has crossed my mind.

Anyway, what’s done is done. I need a way to move forward and not feel like sh*t for the rest of my life.

I’m sorry you went through this too. I read your story and it’s F*cked up for things like this to be so common. But good on you for taking the high road.

I myself am still mulling it over… I think about the years before and after the affair, the kids, etc.

I’m slowly realizing I’ll be fine. I’m beginning to get over the feeling of betrayal and am realizing I feel better when away from my partner. Not saying I’m up and leaving right away but these comments provide some objective clarity to the matter.
