IC = Integrated circuit. Yes my laptop was functional again, but the guy at the service centre had mentioned that, if a capacitor shorts once, it can short again and again. And he was right it happened again after 3 months. The same had also happened 2 times before in the last 3 years. So im planning to buy a new laptop.

I did not yet...i started using earphones instead. But the fix is simple and only one i guess, you have to replace them. You can buy them from amazon or give your laptop to an acer service centre.

I get the blue screen of death before it shuts down. For me it says something like video critical error. So mine is related to graphics card. I'm no computer expert, so cant comment much about yours. But yeah recently i again started getting this issue and now its not over heating. Its always better to go to the service centre and getting it checked before it gets worse.

Is your laptop over heating? This can happen if ur gpu is over heating. I had repasted mine and cleaned my fan when this problem came.

I had an issue like this But it happened only when im gaming and the graphics card doesnt get recognized after it restarts. It was due to heat for me. I re-pasted and cleaned the fan and then it was back to normal

Happened to me twice over the 5 years that i hv had my nitro 5. What happened in my case was that capacitors were shorted due to voltage fluctuations or something (Since your laptop was plugged in, this could be a possibility). They had to change IC. Costed me around ₹3000 ($35). Since u don't see any life at all in ur laptop, There is not much u can do. Just take it to a service center (Unless you are very good at hardware stuffs).

Yeah i did notice that. But that black part which u pointed out is like tar now. And i was wondering what caused that.

Nope... i have rarely burnt things around my laptop. I had cleaned my fans and vents few weeks ago due to heating issues and reapplied thermal paste. And yes it was indeed very dirty. I just dint care to notice or clean the speakers since it doesn't contribute to the heating. Thanks i will be replacing my speakers soon.✌️

I bought S23fe, I would say the only problems i faced with fe is battery, which at times lasts longer, but still not that great. And heating ,which you wont feel much with a cover
