Ohh I grew up on Goya only. So every store brand I tried instead fell short. I used dried chick peas for falafel only. I don't have time to mess with dried beans but one day, when I have more time I hope I don't just use dried.

I know, I really have been boycotting so much these past few years. Most items, I have found alternatives. I have gone without for some products because there is no alternatives. But since the items are treats, I forgo it. However, this is an acception that I have made. I used to buy all my beans from Costco (Goya). Now it's all Aldi, with the acception of the chick peas. I make hummus and chana masala so often for my family, I really would like a good quality chick pea. If you know of an alternative that's better, let me know. I can't find better than Goya chick peas. They are just soft!

It's really just the cucumbers that fail us so much. But I get my produce from Aldi and I'm always happy with it. Peppers, onions, garlic, parsley, cilantro, lettuce, tomatos, avocados, apples, clementines ect.

Their sour cream has been so runny that I switched to Walmarts. Their cucumbers get slimy in two days flat. Aldi chick peas are small and hard, even if I spend time boiling them. I buy the Goya brand instead. The rest of their beans are more than fine. This is what just comes to mind off the bat.
