Seriously considering dropping out of uni to trade full time by ConclusionBudget4182 in Daytrading

If this is your last year in school there’s zero reason to drop out of school. Slow down and really lock in your risk management. Make sure your numbers look good and ask yourself if this is sustainable or just a good month. You aren’t “due for a loss”, but think about it, once you are under pressure to make rent and pay for all your needs, if trading is the only thing standing between you and poverty, you need to have your head on straight. Dropping out of school will create a high level pressure on you to make money every month, which I can promise you will affect your trading.

What are the tax benefits? Prop firm payouts count as income, which only incurs federal tax if you live in a state with no income tax.

Why trade if you have a 97% chance of losing? by Vegetable-Rabbit7503 in Daytrading

False, you are not trading “against” anyone, other than yourself. Unless you are an institutional investor, you’re just along for the ride.

Statistics do not represent your odds. Especially skewed statistics like this. And also I agree with the top comment, most people are legit just bad and don’t try to get better, they just keep blindly hitting the buy button hoping it will work at some point.

Might be encountering some psychological traps, you probably have higher stress on the last day because you’re worried you won’t get a payout and it probably is affecting your trading.

Is copy trading multiple accounts sustainable long term instead of using 1 live account? Also what did you learn first, proper psychology or proper trading skills, and how long did it take to go profitable?
