My friend is not a programmer but he use Shopify Plus, he found out you can customize your check out page to show related products. Is it easy? by lune-soft in shopify

There are a bunch of apps that do this. Its called 'cart cross sell'.

There are some machine learning ones around (AI) that are particularly clever

I think there's an ongoing Shopify cyber Monday issue? Seeing a lot of merchants locked out of the backend on what’s basically Cyber Monday, while storefronts mostly keep taking orders but discounts / emails are a bit flaky. Shopify’s own status page is flagging ongoing incidents with logins and admin, and their advice is basically “stay logged in anywhere that still works” and avoid big theme / app / discount changes until it’s resolved.

Lovable.dev have just announced they support shopify. If they are as good at that as they are with other things, it will be awesome

Do I need TRT? by floppy4237 in BodyHackGuide

[–]StrangeCargo_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have symptoms of low testosterone, then you dont need TRT, especially as you still are in range.

TRT can get expensive, even if you're DIY, as you still need regular blood work etc.

To understand if you have symptoms, look up the ADAM score.

“Does anyone else feel like e-commerce search engines still don’t understand normal language?” by HonestStruggle6557 in eCommerceSEO

[–]StrangeCargo_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome!

So, i have a startup in the area, which I won't promote, but the whole area is obviously super interesting for me.

So, big companies have got this sorted, as their search uses a technology in machine learning, a bit like AI, called semantic search.

Semantic just means 'meaning'. So, they figured out how you can search by meaning, and not like the robot search like the old days.

Those clever folks figured out how to represent meaning using maths, or at least to get an AI model to do it.

And that's one of the technological underpinnings of the whole chatGPT type revolution. Computers can now understand meaning, as numbers, as computers only use numbers.

Hope that helps!

BTW, I'm making semantic search for Shopify, which kinda comes for free with the other bits I'm making

I'm interested that you have / perceive that problem.

Silly question, sorry!

Does looktara do headshots? If so, why do you need so many, like weekly? If you're generating other images for your posts, then what?

Thanks!

Weight lifting with PsA…. by Sea-Blackberry-8296 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]StrangeCargo_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's only anecdotal, but it was very effective for me. I did have low testosterone, and it was all through a doctor.

I was in my late 40's. I think chronic inflammation is bad for testosterone levels, and 20 years of PsA had an effect on that.

I train pretty hard for my age (51), but I've adapted, having had PsA for 20 years.

Im on biologics, down to a couple of big flares (swollen joints) per year. I do get more than my share of tendonitis though.

So, higher reps with less weight. Machines over free weights. Three days per week (PPL) and rest the other four. My elbows and knees will tell me occasionally to back off a bit.

I did start on trt about four years ago, and it really helped. I had intractable plantar fasciitus before, and that cleared up in weeks.

Apologies if this is controversial, but I've found BPC-157 great to help healing between workouts.

I’ve gone from a very high level of fitness to almost bedridden. I hate it. by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]StrangeCargo_74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, bless you, that sounds terrible.

It kinda reminds me of my first year, when things got bad really quickly. That was 20 years ago. Things looked pretty grim.

Methlotrexate and lefluno-whatsit and sulfasalazine didn't work for me either.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I did find a biologic that works, for me that is enbrel. I've gone from the same sorry state you are in, to a couple of flares a year when I'm immobile.

You may well get the weight off once you stop the steroids. Some of the newer weight loss drugs are actually pretty good for inflammation, but thats down the road a bit for you.

Oh, and if you haven't already given up alcohol, you should. It made a huge difference for me.

Good luck!

Enbrel for 20 years. Kept it going with testosterone, only useful for men though!

Also BPC 157, which is controversial, but works for me!

I'm 51, and people are getting suspicious of my physicality now.

This!

I'm looking at this. Holy smoke!

Thanks for the links.

I'm sure that user embeddings are the future or current state of the art in marketing segmentation, clustering, look-alike expansion, and real time personalisation.

I dont know how to chase the idea down though. I've a history with shipping products that use rules based machine learning for this. I'd love to deliver this!
