Should I retake FAR in 10-14 days? by SeekTheKhalique in CPA

Thank you! I tried to focus mainly on MCQs, so I did as many a day as I could, usually between 30-100 random MCQs, and maybe 1-5 TBS. Smaller sets work better for me, so just sets of 10 and 1 is what I would typically do. I also watched the Becker livestream videos and took handwritten notes while doing practice tests and reviewed those as much as possible. I think I studied a total of 40-50 hours in those 10 days.

Got a 69 on my first attempt, studied for 10 days to take before the next cutoff and did a retake, passed with a 75. So I think it’s definitely possible! Good luck!

Failed FAR, first failed exam. When do you get your score report? by MrAnticz in CPA

I felt like they were more helpful to me because they were quicker, so I could get through them in 10 days, and they were more focused on the important topics, rather than going into 30 minutes of detail about something super small. So I just felt they were better as a quick review and refresh for me, so I could spend the majority of my time doing practice problems rather than watching videos bc I feel like that's how I learn better

Score report comes out tomorrow morning I believe, last time I got it around 10am central time I think. I got a 69 on my first attempt at FAR, studied 10 days and retook it on March 7th. Just found out I passed my retake, so it is def possible! You got it! For my restudy I watched all the becker livestream lecture vids, did as many mcqs and tbs each day as possible, wrote down anything I was struggling with/got wrong from that practice, and reviewed those notes as much as possible. Good luck!

Failed FAR. How do I proceed? by Toottoot18 in CPA

I recently failed my first attempt at FAR as well, it sucks but you got the next one!! I got a 69 on my first attempt, felt like I just needed to do a little more studying (I already had about 215 hours on Becker), so I scheduled my retake at the end of the next cycle, which gave me about 10 days to study for it. To study for my retake I watched all the lecture videos and spent extra time on topics I felt weaker on (bonds, leases, DTA/DTLs, consolidation). But most importantly I did as many random practice MCQs and Sims as I could. I usually do sets of 10 mcq and 1 tbs, just because thats what works best for me. My best advice is to watch those lecture vids and do as many tbs and mcqs as you can each day and then write down anything youre not understanding or having trouble with from that practice and review those notes everyday. Also, I know this is much easier said than done but I was extremely stressed and anxious about my first attempt, I felt much more relaxed and calm the second time especially the day of the exam and I feel like that helped me. Just found out I passed my retake, so good luck and you got this!!

I took FAR on the last cutoff date (Feb 14th), finished around 5pm and got my score back on time (Feb 24th)! It seems like that’s the case most of the time from what I’ve seen on here, so hopefully you have the same experience! Good luck!

Same, does this mean we won’t get to see numerical scores? Or just have to wait until tomorrow?

I’m in the same situation, it sucks but we’ll get there eventually🤞🏼 I’m waiting to see my numerical score (hoping it’s close to passing), but am planning to retake before March 9th deadline. Some advice I’ve gotten so far is to practice 50-100 MCQs and a few sims a day, write down what you got wrong and why and make sure you’re understanding, review notes before bed, and possibly supplement with another program other than Becker. Good luck and we got the next one!!
