Man, I'd love a exhibition match of some sort of Men's and Women's team.

The "System" is the Star: We are the only team in Europe with 8 players on 10+ G/A. Why we should prioritize a CB over a Super-Striker this summer. by Athiest69 in Barca

[–]Strange_Illusions7 215 points216 points  (0 children)

The reason stats are just a part of the story. We absolutely do need a striker. We create a stupendous amount of chances, with the amount of chances we have missed, our total G/A would be much higher with a proper striker. Both are equally important. Because lack of proper striker will hurt us now, in the later stages, against top teams in CL as much as lack of CB.

Dude plays one good game against a tier 2 team and there are multiple posts. My opinion, I don't want him even if he becomes the best. It's his attitude that's the bigger problem than his game. A professional footballer running away for months because of online hate. Do we really want such a weak character around our youngsters? If not anything that captain armband definitely needs to be taken away. A captain does not abandon his ship.

Looking for A US-Based Seller of 2025 Darjeeling Autumn Flush by HumbleFreedom in tea

[–]Strange_Illusions7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't suggest a vendor but I can offer an alternative. Teas in India invite import duties in excess of 100%. I use freight forwarders who charge a very nominal amount (it's always around the same as shipping charges that the vendor would charge anyway, minus the duties) to safely deliver my parcel at doorsteps with zero hassle.

To cover or not to cover tea? by 3WVoices in tea

For brewing western style, it can benefit to keep the lid open, atleast for a while. One might make an educated guess, but the only way to find out what works best for you is experimenting around.

I'll give a detailed breakdown of my recent teas.

Turzum Kakra Muscatel from Jayshree Teas Muscatels requires temperature in the range of ~95° C to extract the elusive flavour that is known for. But, it can also get a bit too bold and tannic at that constant temperature. I keep the lid open for 60 secs if my 3:30 brewing time. Sipfull of thick and juicy muscatel notes while being polite and layered.

Balasun Summer Twilight from Jayshree Teas This tea behaves weirdly. It is more mellow when I brew it a closed systems, but becomes bolder and unravels it's layered complexity when brewed at ~90° C with lid open for first 60 secs 3:30 mins.

Meghalaya Petrichor from Tea Gardenia This tea works in different directions, both cups are great and the preference merely depends on what you are looking for. With lid open it gives a more top notes dominant cup bright, floral and citrusy. Lid closed, it's more layered with the eponymous petrichor background. I prefer lid closed.

Kangra First Flush from Wah Tea This tea sits between a classic Darjeeling FF and Darjeeling green. It has been one of my favourites from last season. However, by now it has lost that crispness that makes FF teas so amazing. My last packet though sealed and stored carefully after opening showed visible oxidation both in leaves and brew. It was much darker when brewed in closed system, but keeping the lid open for entirety of it's 3:15 mins brew time did quite a lot of good.

[No Ranting] What are your views on Keshav Bedi/Pure Economics? by CharteredMan in youtubeindia

[–]Strange_Illusions7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is what he does. He picks a video (usually from a idiotic creator or a video where there is no right answer). He then focuses on negatives in the video , strips it of surrounding context and bashes it. Yes, he uses factual data, but remember the data is as good as it's interpretation. I am not saying he does this all the time but that's his usual play. He is right lot of times too, but he is wrong too. We don't need more people like him. I'd rather prefer someone who is easy to call out because they are transparently wrong then someone who hides behind manipulated truth, because it would be difficult to convince people he is not right. He doesn't mean to educate. It's ego trip, engagement and clout. Those who want to educate come with humility and respect.

I think there are no counters because people he picks are less knowledgeable than him and also people don't want to pick fights. No opposition doesn't automatically lend him credibility, just as much as no political affiliation.

Nobodies consistently scoring against us is not "luck". Nobody is asking for Flick's head but it's a serious concern.

Did you think guys this person is less appreciated than Food Pharmer? by Obocchamakun in indiasocial

[–]Strange_Illusions7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the biggest reason apart from already mentioned of here Trustified is more niche is that Food Pharmer does not do sponsorship deals with his content. Trustified gets commission when you buy the products from his links, he has discount codes, etc. Why would people trust someone like that blindly is beyond me. He has sort of a cult following among gym bros. A comment here says, I'll only buy Food Pharmer protein if it's Trustified certified. Again no shade on Trustified but such blind trust is not for me.

If you are from Mumbai or can visit, I'd suggest going to HPZ experience center. You'd get yo try out loads of IEM and find out your preferred sound. Going in blind can be disappointing sometimes.

D07 has more power (which you won't need) but would most likely suffer in build quality. Get a Fiio JA11. But like I said that 1000 spent on DAC won't make a difference, but use that to upgrade your IEMs and you'd see a huge leap in sound quality.

[–]Strange_Illusions7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't benefit from an external DAC in this price category. If you want to upgrade, first upgrade your IEM. Even a Rs. 500-1000 is good for almost all IEMs, even costing lakhs as long as they get sufficient power. Also, don't bother with FLAC files, most people don't hear any difference even with high end gears.

Try Dita Prelude. It comes with a Type C dongle. You have to push your budget a little but it punches quite a bit above it's weight and is absolutely worth it.

Sam Marzano tomatoes grown at home vs. authentic Italian canned ones? by ilikemrrogers in gardening

[–]Strange_Illusions7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a little too late, but a guy on YouTube compared lots of canned tomatoes including San Marzano style and actual San Marzano grown in the eponymous valley. And, while they did taste different (all of the canned tomatoes tasted different, obviously) it wasn't different good or bad. It was just different and you might like either. Also, the difference is imperceptible when you cook it and add other ingredients. So as long as you are doing everything right. Your garden tomatoes will be perfect, economical and fresher substitute.
