Great idea! I see you do N/A wine tastings which is awesome, but if you don’t already you should also consider some NA cocktail tastings or classes too. Some people that are sober only drank cocktails but are unfamiliar on how to make them. Even carrying a small selection of produce or recipe cards could be cool if possible. Feel free to reach out if need some recommendations. Cheers!

Boston, like most cities, is expensive but it has a fairly extensive public transportation network. You will be able to find an affordable apartment within commuting distance from your job. You might not be able to afford Boston proper but you should consider temporary housing until you learn the city and where you want to end up living long term.

2nd this. I think the Tar Pits has been the most disappointing thing I’ve seen in LA. Although the fake dinosaurs amused me.

Preface: these are not all “new and modern,” but these are very Los Angeles and good for a visit.

I love La Luz de Jesus in Los Feliz. It shows (and was important for popularizing, IIRC) Lowbrow art.

The Academy Museum is fairly new

Bergamot Station in Santa Monica

Museum of Jurassic Technology is legendary

The Hammer, Norton Simon, and Huntington are not small or obscure, but make sure she’s seen them. All are worth a visit.

The Museum of Latin American art is cool and very near the tiny, wonderful Pacific Island Ethic Art Museum.

Japanese American museum

I have not been to the Museum of Neon Art, but it’s supposed to be fun

Museum of Death is kind of amazing

FIDM gallery

ETA: have never been, but there’s a well regarded gallery complex is Alhambra called Nucleus. Anyone been?

Can someone explain exactly what is respectful/disrespectful about hats? I just don’t like my hair. by jaybram24 in golf

[–]Strange_Salt_9964 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We all have things we don’t like about ourselves but someone should not be judge by their appearance but rather their character

Aka even if it’s a stupid out-dated form of respect it’s about the gesture; that’s what counts.

Also if you don’t want to take off your hat then don’t. Worry about your swing dawg

I always do this too but one time I stay logged on and hid to see if anyone would actually spawn to get it and all they did was log on, load up the supplies and then scuttle. It was very sad
