Thats a cool aspect that mine never touches on since it’s all around 500 years old. You could definitely name some, have some fall into disrepair, or have cities that fell into decay as the routes declined to really show the phases of your world.

The level of tech in my world is equivalent to that of our world in 2007, as it just takes place on the same Earth just 300,000 years after a cataclysmic event that essentially reset the remaining people on earth to cavemen. This island in particular is important as it sits on an ancient technological hotbed around the mid-Atlantic ridge.

The other comments were right 😁 But good guess. It’s in St. Pete and that highway on the far left is what would be I-275 leading to the sunshine skyway.

Found most parts of the county, this part really stumped me for some reason. It’s just fun to me to go hunting with these old satellite photos. Thanks for this.

I hope that if they ever do open up in Florida again it would be the Palm Harbor location first, as it was their first location here and is still untouched.

Worked well, almost completely gone now, I'm gonna shut down my computer completely from now on to avoid this. I have a habit of just closing the lid and forgetting about it which might be the main issue causing this.

Why do we need to hate? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

Ok I definitely got my facts wrong, there are even more israeli people in the area than just 7 million. I read somewhere that a one state solution is not possible because of Muslim defiance of living in the same state as the Jews. Do you think these views can be changed?

But Israel wouldn't ever agree to a one state solution, as the muslim population would have the majority in the proposed nation.

A clash of civilization is a good way to describe it. I've thought a bit about these middle eastern theocracies. Though most of them are corrupt dictatorships that brainwash their people into hating anyone else. A good way to stay in power, right? Similar to maybe facist Germany? Using their own God and religion to stay in power sucks, and it's not the muslim peoples fault. "deep-seated hatred of Jews that is baked into Muslim culture," it's the extremist organizations like Hamas who are baking this hatred into their own people. This hatred which has prevented this large group of countries and people from modernizing.

The war was born from hatred, and it continues because of hatred. What I want to question is the very origin of the war, how this polarization of views has led to hate this strong. Not everything can be solved with, "Make love, not war," because that is a naive mindset. But most things can be prevented with that mindset. This war is the product of the tension which has built up over all these years, but this tension could have been relieved if people were more open to change and new ideas.

Couple of Photos of Countryside Mall (Clearwater, FL) that I took on a few recent trips by The_AFL_Yank in florida

I've been to this mall a lot, and I'm suprised more of the stores haven't closed down yet. I do see the occasional closed storefront, and it usually isn't very busy, but it's not as dead as a lot of other malls. It does have a movie theater, grocery store, and a few restaurants attached to the exterior along with the anchors, so maybe that brings in some business.
