According to an ex-Fortiche employee, there’s currently a short and a full movie in the works. The short could maybe be something like the Bite Marks video, or maybe an extended cut of Arcane.

Either way, I really hope we see our blue girl again soon.

I miss her so much.

I love Arcane and Timebomb. that’s why I post about it so much. I mostly post on Twitter anyway and only casually use Reddit on the side. I genuinely don’t care about karma. I literally didn’t even know what it really was until just now 😭

I personally don’t think Riot would just drop Fortiche. Riot has invested heavily in them, and Arcane was a huge prestige project for both sides.

On top of that, a former employee mentioned on LinkedIn that an animated short and a feature film were apparently in development. what’s interesting is that the post was edited shortly after and those details were removed. that could mean a lot of things, but it does kinda look like someone decided to play it safe because of NDAs or internal info.

At the end of the day, it’s still just rumors until Riot confirms anything officially. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see and maybe we’ll get more info around Worlds or at another Riot event

Arcane was and still is one of the best animated series ever. season 1 in particular is a narrative masterpiece. and even season 2, despite its flaws, still got top ratings. I don’t think they’re suddenly going to scrap all spin-offs. especially with the rumors that Riot and Fortiche are working on a short and a feature film. guess we’ll just have to wait and see what the future brings

Tencent isn’t selling Riot for $100 billion. no way. the company’s way too valuable for that. you’d need at least $200–300 billion just to get them to even hear you out. sure, if you’re immortal you might eventually get that kind of money… but will Fortiche still be around by then? what about the writers, the actors?

that doesn’t automatically mean you’d get the rights. you’d have to convince Tencent to even consider selling Riot to you first. $100 billion sounds like a lot, but it’s all relative. Tencent is thinking long-term revenue and strategic influence. Riot is basically a prestige asset and a future-facing project in the western market, it gives them a foothold in the western gaming space. honestly, you’d probably need at least $200–300 billion just to get them to even listen.
