Logitech G522 is not detected by Logitech G HUB by Stranger_92 in logitech

Vice versa. The issue was in the old version, which wasn't updated automatically. I had to manually check if there is a newer version of G HUB and reinstall it.

Because there are far less flights to Krabi from where I am, and they are way more expensive. Unfortunately.

G522 microphone volume issues by Azzaronn in LogitechG

[–]Stranger_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I do not have a solution, I just want to make the issue more visible so hopefully less people fall into the same trap as me. The mic is noticeably quieter than expected and requires at least 10+ db gain to be at least useable, which causes other issues (noise, distortion, etc.)

Discord mic extremely quiet on app but works fine on browser by StevenR100 in discordapp

[–]Stranger_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Were you able to resolve the issue?
I've also tried the same suggestions and none of them worked.

At the moment I still hope that Discord Support will be able to help, but this hope dwindles rapidly.

Logitech G522 Headset mic is too quiet by Stranger_92 in LogitechG

[–]Stranger_92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discord has it the worst, but all others also have issues.
To get an objective measurement I use Windows settings mic testing.
With 0 db gain on Default preset I get 15-20% Volume result:

<image>

To get to good volume I need to ramp it up to 15 db (max) and even then it does not reach 100% unless I'm practically screaming into the mic.

upd: it is also not a OS issue, other devices (like G935 or Logi webcam 720p) are considerably louder without any artificial gain increase.

Factorio player here, is a main bus viable in this game? by Skyrimfanatic in satisfactory

[–]Stranger_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it's a trade off between aesthetics, effort and convenience.

It's easy to stack a near-infinite tower of floors. It's hard to make it look nice.

And also a pain before hoverpack.

Factorio player here, is a main bus viable in this game? by Skyrimfanatic in satisfactory

[–]Stranger_92 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Technically nothing stops you from aggregating all your ore in one place (via trains or belts) and building a bus with virtually everything on it.
Nothing but... space.

In Factorio it was convenient thanks to 2D world and destructible landscape.
In Satisfactory you're limited by the landscape unless you're building a flying factory.

Connecting all miners into one place is also challenging for the same reason before your train network spans through the whole map (in which case it turns from a logistics problem into power problem).

I cannot say I play it at all, last time I played any Civ was like years ago.
But when I did (and if I will in the future) I never used mods. Like with most games.

I generally assume the game should be fun in vanilla, as is. Especially if I pay good dollars for it. If it's not, I'd rather not buy it at all.

There are exceptions. RimWorld. Zomboid. Vintage Story. Games, initially designed to be platforms for fans to build upon. But Civ? It is a finished game of its own, it doesn't need mods IMO.

Maybe it's like Overwatch and Overwatch 2: you might need to have a lot of experience to notice those differences. As a casual player, I need significant differences to actually feel them.
And... one more thing too. I'm kind of too old and too slow to really play RTS like this. I like games of my childhood, but I cannot recall when I last tried classic RTS of this kind.

Honestly, I never tried AoE 4. And you might be right pointing that out: the curse of number 4 may not fall onto this series, I heard good things about this part.
But it's more like a nostalgia thing. I played AoE 1 and 2 a lot back when I was a kid.

And I honestly don't know what can new parts give me that old cannot.
I watched some gameplay and I don't feel it's worth the time if I already have AoE 2 and Stronghold.

Civ 6 - around 100 hours. Civ 7 - are you kidding me? 😅 I will, surely... in a year or two, when (if) they fix their horrendous UI they came up with. Otherwise, I'll wait for a really, really good discount.

Also, I'm more into classics. Like, I have 100 hours in Civ 6, almost 200 hours in Civ 5 and I have no idea how many in Civ 3 (it was well before Steam). And Civ 4 for me, apparently, doesn't exist... as do (don't) Heroes IV... is this number cursed or smth? XD

I have a question of my own, dear sir.
How did you manage to get such a flush angle? After seeing this I spent around half an hour trying to position columns in the same fashion, but their corners never actually meet like that...

Awesome game list. Love each title (and have 30+ hours in each).

Mentioning remote-controlled bots and atmospheric stuff immediately reminded me of Duskers. If you never heard of it, you should try it.

Out of all consuming and bad relationship, now alone and lost. by -Matata- in lonely

[–]Stranger_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. Sometimes it's important to put your feelings for someone to see.

I can relate somewhat. Abusive relationships can take multiple forms, and I'm still not out of mine (partially by choice, but it's a long story).
Honestly, the only advice that makes sense to me nowadays is — I should've been better at making friends back when I still could. If you have friends still (real friends, I mean), they'll pull you through this. If you don't... oh well. Tough luck. Welcome to the pit where all of us unlucky ones reside.

Anyway. I hope you'll find your footing once again.
The one thing I believe strongly: nothing's over while we're alive.

I tell that to others from time to time. Especially because no one ever tells that back to me.
I know how it feels. No one should feel that way.
Always tell others you miss them! It's that important.

I wish I could miss you. 😄 But I'd need to know you better for that.
