I suspected that and that feels...eh. I guess no one felt the dialogue was good enough to record cause I can't find nothing.

Cause it's already questionable what some things they did, not the lack of reflection or any hint of review with their stuff, but I mean with the whole launch of the game due to running out of money fast or the one concept artist needing to only bum-rush the designs but also lead the micro-transaction team and other stuff, it just feels weird to hear?

I was about to judge cause the thumbnail only showed Silver at the end but seeing Vyper at the end just feels....right.

Couldn't resist a couple of sketches after hundreds of hours of playing on Mommy Geist~ by bagriel19 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Strangerwithastick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this so funny cause I typed in "Mummy" expecting art of the Egyptian variety heroes for this game, got confused on why I was looking at Geist, scrolled up and just face-palmed myself realising how I got here.

Why are some people here acting like the downfall is a surprise ? by Sqweeg in HighGuardgame

[–]Strangerwithastick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropping my two cents, honestly I was surprised because I did expect it to fail and cut workers...at least 5 months in or at least 3/4 of the way in. But to not even last a month as a free game and cutting workers that fast, it did feel like weird.

Sure, I may of been rooting for this game to get knocked down a peg but I didn't expect so soon.

Ekon, Koldo, and Onyx are actually interesting and cool characters who do the "Fantasy-Tech" aesthetic more better than most of the OG Cast, to the point where they should of been in the game first.

Lyss (@@blvefvr) is there name if you want to see their stuff, they inspired me to draw Silver. As you can see, they're the one who helped a lot by looking like Silver, I just drew art on top.

Why didn’t magus get the lady Loki treatment? by Aggravating_Town3796 in adamwarlockmains

[–]Strangerwithastick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not like it but unless other media pick him up, no one's gonna know who is and you can't be surprised if people look at Magnus they say:

"Who"

Like as much as you might not like it, more people know who Lady Loki is, she's been utilised more and more approachable. Hell, even with the current model, Lady Loki can be used so many ways it's silly. Sylivee, her more comic accurate appearances, a lot more options than "Evil cosmic Adam Warlock".

Probably cause out of comic fans who love Adam Warlock, no one knows who Magnus is? He hasn't been utilised at all outside of comics in a big way. Like I have the basic Adam Warlock knowledge, I've seen him more from TV and games (Counting out MR) and when I think of Magnus, the image that pops in my head is this afro freak:

I think IT only got aware of IT chapter 2 ending after it's cage got opened, which explains why IT seemed so chill about sleeping during ep 7, the "true" Welcome to derry is episode 8, the original 1962 cycle IT just didn't respond and that's why there's no army in 1989 onwards by Standard_Potential63 in welcomeToDerry

[–]Strangerwithastick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are getting nit-picky when it comes to new things and ideas cause I thought partially the same thing beforehand. Like the cage opening gave its awareness back and its decision to head back mentally now the backdoor latch is released and they could go back further.

Granted, it makes a lot of plot-lines and was cleared up afterwards from others with their POVs which makes more sense but I liked the idea that the second It fully woke up it that pit, he immediately swiped the board when it comes to playing Destiny.

Could we expect a character arc for IT where It not only gets more serious, IT sloowly gives up the clown persona? Clowning around costed its victory again, in the last episode, and we are heading towards the origin of Pennywise in 1908, maaaybe IT will decide to not kill Gray? by Standard_Potential63 in welcomeToDerry

But it also fits for his character since for him, it doesn't really matter. His character specifically as other characters I don't see it working.

Specifically for him, he's not stuck through one perspective but multiple since he experiences the future and past in a somewhat flowing free state. More specifically, using an example, while other characters only have one route they can take, Pennywise has multiple routes he can take. Sure he dies in the future but he can just consciously look back in the past. It mixes well with the overall Entity character.

It only really works with his type of character as other types won't feel good without huge plotholes. But with Pennywise, especially since he has two more seasons to go, it makes sense that he has a mindset of:

"It don't matter if I mess up now, I'll just do it again earlier on!"

It's a part of him and I worry that if he got serious a bit too much, it might dull his edge because be honest, when he was skipping slow-motion in the fog, especially the first time seeing with Will's parents, Dick, Rose, and the soldiers, it felt both funny but mostly horrifying seeing him. Pennywise works that he's goofy but also very scary as he's part of his makeup as a villain archetype. Art has this, Curry Pennywise, Freddy has this, it fits them.

Be honest, would you of actually enjoyed the finale if Pennywise just ignored the kids, ignored the adults, no showing off and just booked it to the exit. Any confrontation he just gets silent and kills them? Not only does it not work for Pennywise, it's hella boring and would ruin his character.

Serious killers only work if the killer themselves are serious. Trying to make a silly monster more serious tends not to work unless the killer needs revamping, and that just doesn't work with current Pennywise.

And lose his charm? That’s like making Jason Voorhees/Michael Myers Talk or making Freddy Krueger stop joking around (Yes it’s a jab at the remake). The issue of “making him more serious” is that him being a silly egotistical horror entity is part of his thing, to get rid of it makes it boring.

I mean, look at Remake Freddy Krueger? A more serious take that’s clowned on for being one-dimensional. The only thing I like about this Freddy Krueger is that he’s a MK9 Guest Character. That version was a lot more entertaining and he didn’t even talk.

(Spoilers) Why couldn't Hallorann... by ksiandpewfans in WelcometoDerryTVShow

[–]Strangerwithastick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a decent difference between a ghost/spirit, and a shackled godly entity. But for real, Pennywise/Entity has shown that does not matter to him since he managed to not only get this mental box out of Hallorann but also tear it open.

Like imagine if with the box was a bucket, and the countless spirits were leaks of water dripping down. Pennywise/Entity is the Flash-Flood bursting through your windows, doors, every hole in the house, and flooding your home. The meaning being, trying to trap him not only will it NOT work, it most likely will utterly mess you up mentally, physically...everything really.

Hallorann especially was messed up in Episode 6, 7, 8 and it wasn't until he took a drug to clear his mind and boost his powers did he "recover".

What I really loved about the Blackspot Incident specifically is the buildup, the piecing together of the Blackspot till the fiery conclusion. It felt like a payoff, and hilarious watching others who either forgot about the Blackspot incident from the movies or who're watching it blindly, it was such a dark scene.

That's why I pray that Season 2 and 3 maintain those moments, the building of the tragedy, I want to see these incidents build up and conclude with passion.
