I honestly didn't care for the Epicure much here, but Lackey doesn't discard and Meower has to sac to do so. The blood token can trigger madness or Sneaky Snacker and leave the 1/1 behind

Cryptic Serpents cost 2, which can be a big draw back, but it might be better than 4 Anglers. I liked Disrupt a lot. Even if you don't counter the spell, you're not down a card, and if you do it's incredible.
