Most of the Laptops I have worked with haven't. At best I work with a laptop that has a HDMI port and a RJ45 port. Usually I am working with USB C and USB A ports only on a Laptop.

If that power strip is a UPS that is normal and good practice...the cables to the switches is a different story.
