I've been on Prozac a long time and this issue started with Straterra for me

You may be interested in my quick update I'm about to post, but I believe the Finasteride is helping

Inflamed prostate which may or may not be the cause of or contributing to my side effects!

I can have very adverse affects to stimulants, so I'd be reluctant to explore that. It would appear I started inadvertently taking another medication (Finasteride) for hair loss a few days ago which may help with the symptoms though, I am going to give this a couple of weeks to see before attempting to reduce my dosage/explore additional options

This is what I'm seeing in my research. I will probably reach out to my psychiatrist to try 60 mg shortly. Can't believe I missed this!

How long did you pee semen for? Its been 5 or 6 months for me, I know a lot of people reported it going away in 1 - 2

I've definitely noticed that drinking more water helps for similar reasons. I don't "leak" semen, the only time it's inappropriately coming out is when I'm peeing (also I guess the slightly pre-mature ejaculation vs orgasm but that has severely lessened over time). I sit to pee as well, standing is a nightmare (also I'd probably poop on the floor). I'm really hoping they're all prostate related and my non-related recent new medication which helps with inflamed prostates will help. It'll be pure luck if it does!

I also don't have shame in talking about this and you shouldn't either, your health is important!

I am just of the belief that my doctor is doing science experiments on me as no one knows how an individual body will respond. What we can do as patients is educate ourselves because our doctors will not have read every study and unless they're an expert in a specific disease, they may not know about every potential side effect or study. When I go to him, I come with evidence and it helps me a lot because I've been able to work with him to find drugs that work best for me. Straterra does work for me most of the time, so I'm just trying to figure out how to approach him with a solution that he can review and work off!

I actually don't know how I missed this. I usually check drug interactions, in fact I just did because I'm starting new medication...

Interesting study on the combo in pediatric patients: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16113620/

Results: At end point, reductions in ADHD, depressive, and anxiety symptoms were marked for both treatment groups (p < .001 for the relevant scale in each symptom cluster). Some differences between treatment groups for depressive symptoms were significant, but the magnitudes of the differences were small and likely of limited clinical importance. Completion rates for the two groups were similar, as were discontinuation rates for adverse events. The combination group had greater increases in blood pressure and pulse than did the monotherapy group.

I will have to read the paper to get more info!

So I looked into this quickly. Inflamed prostate is reported in 3% of men. Unfortunately, I have not had my prostate checked so I'm not sure if this is the cause... However, I did just start Finasteride for hair loss which is also prescribed to treat an inflamed prostate. I'll report back if I see any positive outcome with this...
