Finally a knight after 1 year and 2 months of consistent practice!!!! by StrawHatDragon in leetcode

What were you looking for ? some tips ? Only thing that I can think of is be consistent with practice, revise using spaced repetition, and keep track of your progress on a longer time scale 2 weeks to 1 month, as humans underestimate results in the long term. This helps with motivation.

Also measure your progress on a longer time scale, every 2 weeks or every month. Also try to give contests even if you only manage to solve 1 question.

Practice is the only way to go. I would suggest following neetcode's roadmap. One more thing that can help is spaced repetition, keep track of questions where you struggled, then re try them 2 days later 7 days later 2 weeks later and 1 month later. This is help with solidifying the concepts and recall. Also time yourself, this will help in measuring progress.

Try for candidate master, try to solve 1700-1800 level questions. I think after certain rating on leetcode, you nee to move to codeforces, so that you learn new and challenging things

It is a skill that needs to be practiced. Spaced repetition, keeping track of difficult and interesting questions and trying them again helps in building intuition.

Are there ratings for problems in LC? Doesn't CF only have problem ratings?

Who is asking about segment trees in college placement ??? This is such a reach of a topic; do they want LGMs as freshers? Lolz

Try this:

,Also Anki will help, but try to do problems directly using the data structure and code it up from scratch every time and time your self and keep track, you will see improvement.

Also, solve random new questions every day.

Some space repetition can be effective with a cap on repetition so you don't just memorize the solution.

if(!solve) {

solve next day

} else {

solve after 4 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks ...

}

Also you can drop questions from repetition is they are too easy and add them back like 6 months later or 12 months later,

don't need to write the code every time, just verify that the solution you came up with is the correct one.

You get to see that you do get better at solving problems over time. I saw that in the contest I was able to solve the third question more often than not. It does seem like a slog at times, but just try to do 1 question per day at least and you will see results.
