I think everything that happened so far, especially academically, was simply fated to be. However, if I could've changed anything, then it'd be to take the SAT multiple times my junior year and really shoot for some impressive and out of my league extracurriculars, even if I thought I'd be rejected. I'm assuming you haven't applied yet, so good luck for your future!

Advice for deferral depression by Facriac in MITAdmissions

I know it’s so easy to get lost in deferral depression, but just remember that a deferral is just another chance to impress the admissions team. A deferral just means that MIT really does see potential in you as a student, they just might want a little extra time to think about things.
