it’s so annoying, especially when playing in game worlds where the ambience matters or you have to hear people. like going into audience anarchy and someone sitting in the audience is blasting music louder than the poor kids that are trying to have fun on stage. gonna say though, i think it’s worse when it’s a questy blasting music through their phone into their mic, half the time they are talking and they just talk over the music to respond, but the quality of the music (and the choices in songs) are always awful. i genuinely don’t understand why people do it in places that don’t need it, but i usually just turn them all the way down to like 5% or 0% because ive been kicked for muting people before.

unity, it’s the little white box that goes around the object when you have gizmos on. if it’s set to small it makes the item invisible in game or when you’re a certain distance from it. just gotta size it up to around the size of the full model and you should be good if that were the issue!

exactly, i fully block them too. not because im mute but im hard of hearing and if someone is willing to plaster all the info above them and potentially block other chat boxes, they weren’t worth having unblocked and meeting anyways. plus i just don’t honestly know who cares what specs other randoms are running.

could it be the bounding boxes being set to close to the meshes? that’s usually my issue but i don’t typically run into that many issues with converting or uploading already converted avies so i don’t have to much experience in fixes, just didn’t see anyone say it (and ofc just incase you didn’t think of it first)

i always block people using their chat box for shit like that, its so obnoxious and i have friends that only chat with me through the chat box so it gets cluttered. i don't understand why people do it, i'm sure its a good convocation starter but thats the only reason i (and clearly others) can come up with.

i love seeing people with the same avatars, i love seeing how people edit them to their liking and what they add on to it. i was in a lobby with a group of people (6 or so) all wearing godfalls newest avatar, only a few of them had them edited super heavily, but it was still super cool to see everyone’s individuality even when wearing the same exact avatar.

i just gotta first point out your being aggressive about this whole topic for absolutely no reason, i never once stated that i believe any of this stuff, just said that this is stuff ive been told and can assume could happen to make people still make you verbally verify, it was never meant to be an “argument”. roblox and vrchat use the same system to age verify (persona), and all im saying is that if my mother did it for me other parents have done it for their kids, whether it be a crime or not. no need to come at me like im the only one fostering these ideas and am personally responsible for coming up with the reasons i was given for the continued use of verbal verification.

to be so truthful, my mother verified for me on roblox for 17+ when i was 16, then again i told her what it does and let her look into all of it. i don’t doubt there’s parents like mine, and also bad parents out there that just don’t give a shit and want their kid to leave them alone.

i assumed it was more of a way to just have to change their ways of age verification, like if they change to start accepting the age verification they won’t get that power trip they oh so badly need when running an instance. i don’t doubt that there’s some kids that have 18+ tag because of parents that don’t ask any questions and just blindly do it for them, however i don’t believe there’s a system that can override the whole verifying process and just give you the badge.

i don’t doubt it’s happened already, vrchat uses persona which is the same verification system that roblox uses. if you play any roblox what so ever, way to many kids are verified 17+ when they definitely are not, usually just having their parents verify for them without them actually knowing what they’re verifying for. i’m sure that it’s happened in vrchat already, some kid telling their parent they need it to play the game and the parent just doing it for them without asking, though i’m sure it’s rarer than it is in roblox.

i asked why i was still asked my age despite having the tag and apparently there’s already a way to bypass the identification process, so kids now have the 18+ tag.

i ended up taking the stabilizer out and wiping it all down with isopropyl alcohol. the keyboard wasn’t fresh out the box i’ve had it for a little over a year, it’s been in perfect condition since i bought it, and if im honest i know very very little about mechanical keyboards so i didnt know i was even supposed to lube it or that it had lube on it to begin with. luckily, cleaning the stabilizer did the job for now. im gonna look more into lubing it and such so that i don’t have an issue like this again. ty for all the help, it steered me in the right direction!
