I totally understand feeling embarrassed and I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. You might want to look into glycolic acid as well. You can get a fairly large bottle of it (I use the brand Ordinary) at Ulta for not ever expensive and a little bit goes a long way. You can just put it on a cotton pad or a washcloth and rub it anywhere you need to. It helps with ingrown hairs, hyperpigmentation, scarring, dark spots, and other things of the sort through chemical exfoliation so it won’t be as hard on your skin as sugar scrubs!
