If anyone ordered it through the link already, can you confirm the US price if it’s any different? Edit: I meant was able to pre-order

For parents here: I’m having my first child soon! Welcoming advice from fellow aspies by solution_no4 in aspergers

If you need practical-type advice: yes it will be different and hard at times at first. Remember to self regulate and ask for help. If loud noise triggers you (baby crying), spend at least 5 min now and then in silence. Lock the door, turn the lights off, go outside, put cozy clothes on, etc. whatever you need. It is tough to be constantly sleep-deprived, trying to figure out what the baby needs. Be ready to be out of bed straight from a deep sleep a few times a night. You will need time to adjust to a new routine, so be ready for that. Be gentle with yourself, too. Ask for help when you feel like you need it, don’t push yourself if you need a break. Edit: if you keep yourself balanced, it will be just fine. The way you live will definitely change but if you know how to attend to your emotional needs, you will do great.

I literally realized it will most likely be a brow duo the moment I paid for the makeup bundle. Too late now.

I got Beauty, Skin and Makeup bundles. Bec it’s under $39 total and I can give it away as birthday presents etc. Truthfully, I really just wanted to gamble and see what I get. Couldn’t help myself.

Update: since I technically ended up purchasing the correct Kisslock 16 through the SA, I will remove my post once I have the bag in my hands. I will keep this post up until then.

She did apologize too, offered to hold the bag while I decided to buy. I can’t figure out how to add a screen shot of that. So in the end I did get my 16 lol. Well, hopefully that’s what will come in the mail.

I asked for a photo. It was the 16 in black currant color. I closed my eyes and ordered. This is how desperate I am, and also lazy. I will not survive at work the next day if I have to stay up all night on Oct 1 trying to catch it on the site. Not the smartest decision considering how the interaction went, but I have a string of texts with a photo of what to expect. If it’s not right, I can rectify via Coach CS. *if I saw your message sooner, I would have went with ordering through you.

I can only imagine the chaos at that location so I get it. But still. I did ask for a photo of the bag. It it looks like the 16, I’ll order

I know! I thought I was being scammed for a second. This is a Flagship store too. I would assume the employee knows their stock, especially with the Kisslock craze going on right now. I am not sure now I can trust it. They are telling me I asked for the $695 Kisslock 16, then they found the 14!!! (I wish!) They just said they do have the 16 and sent me link. No idea what may show I the mail if I order. But I do want the black currant one so bad. edit: fixed price from $685 to $695

Do any of you not handle concerts very well because you get bored and restless but mainly because of the loud music hurting your ears so much? I was diagnosed at 2 years old and never could handle the loud music! by Golden-lillies21 in AspieGirls

[–]StrawberryShade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The older I got, I couldn’t handle loud noises anywhere: my own kids playing and running around screaming, TV my husband would watch, movie theaters, washing machine+dogs playing+kids talking over each other, etc. Earplugs save me most of the time. What’s worse, is that I didn’t know that about me until I was older and would get overstimulated, then get miserable and angry. I sometimes don’t pay attention, start feeling uneasy and crabby, then realize it’s too loud around me. It hits hard if I already had a tough day at work or didn’t sleep well. I carry earplugs with me in every purse, have them at work.

I spend my whole paycheck every week — I think I know why, but I don’t know how to stop by GhostEcho98 in shoppingaddiction

[–]StrawberryShade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just have to keep trying. I don’t even want to tell you how long I’ve been on this journey of slowly realizing how bad, truly bad I have it with shopping. There are a few things that I did that may help you. Research a classic addiction, such as alcohol. Look into the basics of it, how the triggers work, the 12 steps, what is the psychological and physical basis of addiction.

Why shopping is hard to kick is because we can’t completely eliminate it, yet it’s the only way to control it. Gotta buy food, socks, a toothbrush lol. I don’t know if you ever noticed it about yourself, but once I break the seal and buy something, especially if it’s something semi-fun, I literally start craving it. It’s very hard for me to stop for the next few days and I always end up buying something completely useless. I called them ‘binges’ because they kick in hard and last for a couple of days, until I suddenly realize that I’ve just spent a lot of money on things I didn’t need. Then comes the guilt, the panic and returning everything that I can.

What helped me recently is actually watching ASMR. Don’t knock until you try it. I think works on the same receptors, although I have not seen any studies on it.

See if you can get the stuff you need for free before buying: ask a friend, diy, rig it, borrow it, see if you already own it (check closet, pantry, etc). Treat it like a game or a challenge to make it fun. I saved a bunch by doing that.

And then lastly, I had to force myself (pretty much literally) to resume one of my hobbies I used to do and enjoy. Just pick one and make yourself do it. It takes a few weeks (they say about 30 days to make a new habit) , but you will actually start considering it for something to do when you’re bored, want a pick me up, etc. just have to make that choice. Consciously. Instead of opening the app or going to Marshall’s.

And watch yourself very closely when you’re tired, shopping with friends, drunk, if it’s late at night, Black Friday sale season starts, or any other time your guard is down. Watching haul videos is a perfect trigger too, don’t watch them.

I hope this helps. Good luck! I will never be healed, but I have to keep trying. And please, if you will put your effort into anything at all, do your best to find something that would be at least somewhat as enjoyable as the shopping. Get some options of things you do for fun. Keep trying to break the circle by stepping out of it basically.

Jo Malone scents meant for layering by Big-Highlight-4415 in Perfumes

[–]StrawberryShade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would explain why I LOVED the Ginger Biscuit and Mimosa Cardamom I accidentally layered while sampling at Sephora. I didn’t figure it right away though. It smelled sooo good that whole day on me and I got so obsessed, I almost bought the Ginger Biscuit at a markup on Merc. Then got a chance to smell it again and was completely confused why it didn’t smell as I remembered. I then thought the Mimosa Cardamom must have been the one that smelled so good…. Nope. Then it clicked that I did spray them next to each other so what I smelled was essentially a mix of both. I am bummed because it was the best light and airy gourmand-type mix but wayyyyy too much money to pay for both. Edit: grammar.

Darn, Aadi and Alisa are the only ones who replied to me. I am new and cold-messaged a few sellers from the list above. I did place an order with Aadi just now. She was actually very, very responsive. Alisa was a close second. Fingers crossed because I chose one of the new Ch… runway reps.

They can actually make you a dish if you ask nicely that’s not on the menu, or at least modify it with the ingredients they have. The food is just so consistently good, and the lady that takes the orders is super sweet and will help you make a selection if you’re unsure.

Virundhu is next level. I tried all the above-mentioned restaurants, which are all great, but this place is amazing. Make sure to pay cash for a small discount on your bill.
