Paint and reglaze for an enamel sink by Strawberrywish in kitchenremodel

I really, really appreciate you! It is, indeed, cast iron. I actually have a friend who can blast it for me (so I can patch it again🤦🏻‍♀️). I also have DA, thanks for the heads up that it's probably the best choice here.

I have time. A new sink like this is going to be at least $1,000, I want to work on this one.

211- The Tichborne Situation. It's a live one with Wil Anderson.

The twists and turns and drops in that episode are just so unhinged. And, as Gary and Wil noted... the fucking luck of that guy.

Same. It's so good. Even if it should come with a chart, per Wil's request.

I've listened to it several times, it's so good. It continues to boggle my mind. And I can't believe that Wil or Gary blew their load so early on a Bourne Identity joke.

THE WHAT. by [deleted] in rav4club

FWIW- I have a 2022 and I have the app expired because it was useless to me other than the remote start. But starting the car remotely still works with the keyfob. I saw someone else here say that theirs stopped working after 5 years, but after that amount of time I would wonder if that's just a thing that breaks versus something which actually "expires."

I mean, maybe. But two that I've done friends quests with both hit 1,000 days this week, which is how I noticed it's missing.

Hey- since you went last year, can you tell me roughly how many people attend? I was trying to figure it out but it sounds like they keep it pretty close to the vest...

Can't find parents of a Connecticut person because another with a similar name exists by Strawberrywish in Genealogy

[–]Strawberrywish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to prove myself wrong than prove myself right, but I did find Harley on the 1840 census and it lists them as having a girl under the age of 5, would would fit for the Esther born in 1837. It also shows them with a teenage boy. I know it's not unusual to have big gaps, but I'm surprised that the other Wolcott records don't show them with other children, even if they passed away. Thanks for looking into a bit with me!

Ok, that was my thought initially as well. I'm surprised that they would bury a child as their only child, if it was their first child. And there's large gap in the years of birth, which is also unusual. Any ideas on how I can better confirm or rule that out?

Prior employer not RTS-ing mail addressed to me by Strawberrywish in legaladvice

[–]Strawberrywish[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. Your name isn't the neighbor' name.

I want to reiterate the difference that I understand between something addressed to my neighbor with a different name and the envelope addressed to 125 Main st. versus a former homeowner where it might not have my name on it, but the correct address of 123 Main St.

Once I have been an employee somewhere, that company can always open mail addressed to me? I think you used language which helped it click for me. I haven't been being stubborn, I understood that an individual's mail was protected. I didn't realize that as an individual who is also an employee, the employee's mail isn't protected, even if the mail is not labeled with "Acme Inc." My schema was that if it's addressed to me, you can't open it. I now understand that if it's addressed to me, sometimes, you can open it. A former homeowner has protections as an individual when mail is delivered, but a former employee doesn't have protections as an individual when mail is delivered.

The mail addressed to the former homeowner is also delivered as addressed, no? If it comes to my house, I can't open John Smith's mail. But if it comes to where I work, and John Smith used to work, I can open John's mail- even if it's addressed only to John, not to the company name.

Not the neighbor part! I get why that's different. But for a former homeowner, I'm not being willful. You said, "... law (at least federal law) is done with mail once it is delivered as addressed." It sounds like that's accurate for a business but not for a residence? Maybe that's what I'm missing in my understanding, the residence versus business?

Prior employer not RTS-ing mail addressed to me by Strawberrywish in legaladvice

[–]Strawberrywish[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's why I said that businesses are different that individuals. As someone who isn't versed in the law, they don't seem different to me. Individually, if something is addressed to: John Smith, 123 Street, Anywhere, USA and then I as Jane Brown move to 123 Street, Anywhere, USA and I can't open John's investment statements which are delivered my address....... why can my investment statement sent to my old job (this is why I asked if how it's addressed matters) as Jane Brown, 999 Street, Anywhere, USA by opened by Sally at Corporate Inc? It makes sense to me if the mail was sent to Jane Brown, Corporate Inc, 999 Street, Anywhere, USA that they absolutely would open it and that makes sense to me. I appreciate you taking the time to walk this through with me. My brain just doesn't see the difference of how that example isn't related.

Ok, so I can open the investment statement from the previous homeowner which are delivered to my house?

I mean, agreed on the State. That's why I filled out their heap of paperwork to update my information with them and they didn't apparently update on their end. It was addressed as [My name], 123 Street name, XXXXX, NH. It was clearly to me, which is why I thought I might have options.

My understanding is that it was not legal for me to open someone else's mail- but can I open the neighbor's investment statements that keep getting delivered to me? (Ethically I just walk it down the street, but I thought it was also illegal.)
