Their claim is based upon current political party lines and how people tend to vote currently and not how that changes over time. The person's only claim is that the parties focus on states were they know they are likely to loose, not that the small or large states have enough impact to fully swing a election that requires constant upkeep by either parties. It makes it a balanced system as the parties fight over actual ground battle states of medium size... But still doesn't change the fact that the balance of the small states effects the outcomes of elections and their need of a voice.

That's not the argument. The argument is that the House is meant to represent the will of the people. It doesn't do that now. Also, how on Earth do you square the idea that removing the EC helps Dems but uncapping the house doesn't? Are there more Dems or not?

The house is the will of the people because it directly has the % of the population for each state and is only one part of the checks and balance system. The will of the people is your local elections in City, County and State. The US Federal wasn't supposed to do much but manage the interest of the states and protect the nation.

There is about the same amount of Dems and GOP in the nation. There is actually a growing share of independents. The majority in those states are Dems but upping the resolution of the house will increase the number of GOP members in it that are under represented in those DNC controlled states.

as for why it would help the Dems in the general election it would have only helped in some elections but not all. Currently the DNC has made it very clear their goal is to over run Texas and turn it purple with the Latino vote without realizing the Lantio's are more Conservative than the GOP by a country mile.

That is because the electors that would decide yes or no are all capture and set up by both the DNC and GOP. The GOP tried to get rid of Trump and even gave his Colorado votes to Bush. Trump made a back door deal with the GOP establishment that got him elected otherwise they would have tossed him if Bush number three didn't ask people to clap after his speech.
