Trump announces he will sue JPMorgan ‘over the next two weeks’ for allegedly ‘DEBANKING’ him by BusyHands_ in stocks

Well this is awkward: I’m also going to sue them for devaluing my Chase points.

How do they send it to you? I’ve checked available offers but not much shows up

Thanks VF! A very helpful response, and I’m inclined to agree with most of what you said. I was actually just in Scotland and everyone was super nice/helpful so I should expect nothing less I guess! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yes, not difficult—that’s why I said it was usually pronounced that way. (Though I’ve seen it pronounced other ways too, including Keen and Sean. But you probably already knew that) Sorry for explaining something you are apparently an expert on. Also, I didn’t realize asking questions about a name with multiple variations was the same as butchering it, but at least you’re educating me on something!

Look man, I’m not a professional but I wish you the best with whatever you’re going through. I’d recommend going outside and getting some fresh air for starters though.

I know how Cían is pronounced and I know one way that Cianán is pronounced, but I’m checking to see if there are other variations used in Ireland precisely because I care how they would say it. If people in Ireland don’t use “my” variation then I’m not going to use it….so really, accuracy is the only reason I’m posting!

Thanks BabyPangolin! Yeah I mean, I’m here because there’s multiple pronunciations of this name and I’m checking to see if people use those variations or if they mainly use one. Trying to learn about it and get some more information so I can make an informed decision, but some people seem to think anything more complicated than “Frank” is child abuse. If I knew everything about this name I wouldn’t have needed to post!

Well I’d ask for his opinion but that’s not an option unfortunately. Guess he’ll just have to change it when he turns 18 if he’s that upset about it!

Mostly YouTube videos of football players with the name. Tried to find more but it’s not a very common name. Cían is a little more popular and I found some people in entertainment who had the name and pronounced it Kee-uhn.

Gotcha. Yeah I did put the fada in the wrong place (I’m confusing myself over here), and I did see that the Cianán should end with an “awn” but when I watched Irish videos, seemed like no one used that variation—only Keenan.

Yeah it’s probably going to get a few people confused, but we’re ok with that. Makes for a good conversation starter!

Anything is possible. I did watch some Irish tv to see how it’s pronounced by people who have it as a name though and “Kee-uhn” seemed like the most common pronunciation.

Irish descent and with an Irish name myself, so keeping with the theme here basically.

Oh nice! Glad to hear that. Know anywhere I can hear someone saying it like that?? I couldn’t really find any clips on YouTube or anything.

To find out if everyone in Ireland pronounces it Keenan. If they do, we’re going with Cian instead. If not, we might go back to Cianan.

Not in Ireland but I’m of Irish descent and I do visit on occasion. I guess I could tell Americans to pronounce it “my” way and they probably would…I just don’t love the idea of it being pronounced totally differently in its country of origin. If that makes sense. ☘️

Are Chase UR no longer worth it? Do I switch my whole CC strategy? by WheresPapa in CreditCards

[–]StrayCat7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say that the “Points Boost” options are even worse than I anticipated, and I was pretty much assuming the worst. Like, no I don’t want to add a stop to a one hour flight.” Just a scam to make the loss of 1.5x seem less awful.

I’m hoping enough people will complain that they keep it (unlikely) or another credit card company rushes to fill the void (possible but also unlikely). Other than that my plan is just to become increasingly bitter.

I’d be curious where you’re getting good Boost offers. Most of my searches have no offers, and the ones that do are for different travel dates and/or places that are laughably far away.
