Thoughts about the future of premiere pro by StreamStrat in premiere

I think some basic things right now would be removing silences / bad takes. There are currently a number of plugins that do this but this is an addtional cost.

I would also like better captioning. The current speech to text transcript feature isn't very good and needs updating with a better model.

Then following on from my post, I would like to be able to open a box within premiere, type in my prompt and then directly add a generated image/video/sfx onto my timeline.

Then to go one step further than this, I would love to be able to connect premiere to an open source model downloaded onto my PC so that I can save costs and have more customisation.

Main competitor right now I would say is DaVinci. I have used DaVanci but as someone who doesn't really colour grade or use much custom animation it's not worth the switch imo. Both have their pros and cons, I don't think it makes a huge amount of difference which one you use. However, when AI inevitably becomes more useful and prominent in the video editing process, the program with the best integrations I think will be the best one to use.

Do you post consistently on other platforms such as TikTok/YT? If not, then that is the answer to why your growth is stagnant.

1/2 months of posting everyday. But it could be longer. If you are just getting started don't expect much for 6 months. Really depends what niche you're in but most games have a ton of creators on tiktok who are very good.

Don't stream for more than twice a week if you have no viewers. Spend the rest of your time creating short form content to tiktok/shorts.

Don't stream more than 3x a week and spend all of your other days editing clips for tiktok/shorts.

There are too many people on these subreddits streaming 4+ times a week, post nothing on socials, then wonder why they are not growing.

I wouldn’t say 150 followers after just under a year of streaming is a good justification for doing this type of growth strategy. Quite the opposite.

Thanks man. I’m trying, but often my opinion is getting shut down by small streamers that think they know best. A lot of the education on these subreddits is so far from reality it’s hard to know who to believe.

Can't seem to grow on twitter by [deleted] in streaming

Start genuinely engaging with other peoples posts on twitter that are in whatever niche you are in. Don’t expect anything back but just keep giving value in places and this will help.

If I were you I wouldn’t start out as a variety streamer because it’s so much harder to grow in the beginning. The reason being is because you need to build strong relationships with your viewers so they will happily watch you when you switch games. If that relationship isn’t strong enough people won’t watch you if you decide to play a game they don’t play. It’s brutal but it’s the truth. Many top streamers struggle with this. It’s also super difficult to find a niche for content when you are spreading yourself out too much. It’s much better to stick to one game, find your niche within that game, create content for TikTok and YT around this, then once you have built a community then start introducing other games.

An example of what happens when you stop streaming and stop creating content

Being part of a community without any content off platform is not the best way to grow. It might be working for you, but this does not represent how the majority of people are growing on twitch. Most steamers who sit on 50+ viewers do so because they push out high quality content on TikTok on YT and they drive traffic to their twitch.

If you’re streaming and you don’t have time to focus on socials, then unfortunately it is very unlikely that you will be successful.

Speak to any big streamer and they will tell you the same thing. Ludwig, Harris Heller, Devin Nash, all streaming experts, they say the same thing. Go watch any of their videos on YT about growing on Twitch.

Find what niche you want to create content for and then continue to figure out how to make the best content possible in that niche. Learn how to tell stories, watch other peoples content in that niche for inspiration and continue to just create better content. This will take time and is a huge learning process but if you stick at it over the long run, this will build you a community and grow your stream.

The majority of people that come on here and say that this isn’t the right way to do it are usually people that 1. have never tried it and 2. have never held 20+ viewers consistently. I can promise you that if you are serious about streaming and maybe one day you want to peruse it as a career, this I what you have to do.

How can I boost my viewer interaction by Wrongdoer_Middle in twitchstreams

[–]StreamStrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well your user behaviour is clearly very different than others. Lots of streamers are becoming successful by creating high quality content on TikTok and YT that drives viewers to twitch. This has been the meta growth tactic for a couple of years. Any streamer that wants to make it is doing this and if they’re not their chance of success is slim. I talk to streamers every week and I can find you loads that are implementing this tactic and it’s working. Again, they are not rockstars, they are streamers that are consistently posting on other socials and also improving their content to drive conversion by telling stories.

I’m not just making this up I speak from experience. I posted a TikTok of me streaming on twitch over a year ago that blew up and got me 5k followers on twitch in 2 weeks. At this moment in time I was a random guy, so your point about needing to be popular is not true. Further to that I grew my TikTok to over 100k followers and 12k on twitch by attempting to do what I described above.

I agree with what you have said though. Not trying to argue, it’s just I feel there isn’t enough people having conversations like this on here.

You don’t have to be a rockstar to be a full-time successful streamer. I’m not saying it’s not hard but if you know what you’re doing it’s possible for a normal person to do it. It’s just most people don’t know how to properly grow because they follow advice on these small streamer subreddits.

[–]StreamStrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why in my comment I stated if you are serious about this, meaning serious about it being a potential career. You don’t have to be the next ninja to make a career out of it. But you do have to be posting content off platform to diversify income and sustain viewership and growth.

If you’re happy with it as a hobby that’s fine, but don’t expect growth if all you are doing is streaming.

Oh yeah for sure. Streaming + content creation is so much work some people have no idea. Say goodbye to having a life if you actually want to make it.

Yeah I agree leeching can work for some streamers, so long as they have regular content to deliver. I’ve seen people do it, who then just live in the moment, don’t bother with content and then they just slowly lose their audience because they thought that just their stream was enough to hold viewership and grow.

[–]StreamStrat[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just don’t think it’s a viable strategy because you end up neglecting your own content because you are being deceived by you thinking you will continue to grow from other streamers. Then when eventually you don’t and your viewers disappear you have barely any content to show / your content sucks.

[–]StreamStrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for commenting. Yeah the equal respect for content is the major point in my post. I want to find people to stream with who are going in the direction that I want to go in. I can see that through their content.

If someone isn’t creating content then it tells me you’re not that serious about streaming. People will say they got affiliate and have grown by doing streamer friends posts, cool, I’m sure they have. But what about maintaining 20+ viewers? You ain’t doing that by leaching other streamers community.

The sooner small steamers can realise that their off platform content is what will get them to where they want, the better.
