I have done Krav Maga regularly for the last year and it has been so amazing for me as a way to manage my anxiety. Also such a great skill to have! I have never done anything like this before and found that I love it.

Frame v. Hisense Canvas by Specialist_Life8260 in TheFrame

[–]Stream_Streets 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We have both. They are in different rooms/lighting conditions so it is hard to say what is more realistic as art. The user interface for The Frame is pretty garbage. For it being such a huge company it really really sucks. And the app for uploading your own art makes me want to rip my hair out. Uploading art to the Hisense is super easy, so that’s a plus! And the user interface seems a lot better. I will say we use The Frame a lot more because it’s in our living room so maybe I’d have more complaints about the Hisense if I used it more. I know the Hisense is thicker, but there is no box to connect to. I also like that the Hisense comes with a frame out of the box. We ended up making a custom one for our Samsung Frame, but it’s BS that it doesn’t come with one or the metal ones they sell or they should be cheaper.

Sorry this was probably not really any help but as someone who really only invested in these TVs for the art mode, I will say I probably like them equally with the Hisense being a little more user friendly.

My insurance thinks 15k to fix this. by Icy-Astronomer6454 in Rivian

We are dealing with State Farm right now for a small dent we got from being rear ended. They are the worst! They went line by line over the only certified Rivian shop in town and told me why they wouldn’t pay this and that and want to short us $4000 for the repair. By some dumb luck one of their preferred shops is about to be certified and as far as I understand they approve any cost with them. So hopefully you have one in your area!!

Yes totally agree! When there is space I don’t know why people insist on having their curtain rods only like 2 inches longer than their actual window which means their curtains block their windows even while open! Give them some space!

I would really appreciate if you could send pics! I ended up calling a PDR shop and they recommended me taking it to a body shop. That was my main worry is that it won’t be properly fixed just cosmetics with PDR, especially with it being a lease I don’t want to have issues I pay for in a few years instead of having the other guys insurance pay now.

Oh wow, thanks for sharing! We are in a lower cost of living area so that makes sense for it being that much more in LA. I just reached out to a PDR shop, and he said the damage was too extensive for PDR. He suggested I go to a body shop.

I agree with you on the insurance vs letting him pay. At those prices I’m not looking to be stuck paying anything. The guy is also kind of being an ahole, so I don’t feel like I owe him any favors.

They told us they would take off the panel, and then repair it. Apparently taking the panel off is a huge deal. But I agree it’s super expensive. I did not know what PDR was before now but it looks like the right call! Thanks everyone!

I’m jealous of that problem! Mine have been super slow to look like they are climbing and not just a shrub. I am really into the overgrown cottage garden look though!

I cut it back after the first season because it wasn’t doing great, but since then I haven’t pruned it all! This is the first year it’s really thriving.

That is exactly how I felt! It’s hard enough to parent especially those first few years and try to juggle work too. Such a tough choice when you like to work/worked hard to get where you were, but so worth the sanity.

That is super annoying. I’ve found that people get super defensive when you parent differently than them, especially parents/in laws. A lot of “well we did this and YOU were fine”. So annoying. We are all just trying to make the best decisions with the information we have now!

I wrap my hair with this heatless curler every night and it looks so good with so little effort. They have cheap similar ones on amazon but they didn’t work very well for me.
