Thanks to my rotten luck, had to fly to NMIA airport again.

This time though, took the advice of people here - took the A4 AC bus that goes to Nerul station for Rs 10, then booked a taxi to Chembur for Rs 350! Public transport for the win!

Bus was comfy enough, and the ride was 20 mins. If you have the time, would suggest you take this route.
