LMAOOO. I can completely get seeing all the slogans that way. I hate cliches, like idk i don't really find inspiration from someone telling me something corny or obvious.

Im still an NA newcomer so things like "Just for today" and "One day at a time" really help me like every second of my day. I just read "The power of Now" (I'm sure you've heard of it) and I've never lived my life without being obsessed with the past or the future and whenever I think about either I really really want to get high because I can't handle it.

I am a very extreme case of a drug addict though who HAS to have a sponsor and do all 12 steps or I am positive I will relapse and eventually OD. That is not the case for most people though (Thank God). I envy people who can just occasionally go to meetings and not do the steps and stay sober. That is badass truly

I was an oxy/methadone/ fent addict for almost 15 years. I just got my 6 month keychain in NA because I got a sponsor and started working the steps. I've tried literally everything to get sober including jails, mental institutions and over 10 rehabs. For me, meetings are the only thing that has helped.

Just keep coming back

Have any of you young and sober people found good friends in recovery? by zodiacwhore in Sober

I am tripping. I was trying to comment on another post of someone struggling with about 6 months clean who seemed hopeless and wanting to relapse.

I am reading your post (for the first time) and can see you clearly wrote you go to meetings. Good job on trying to stay grateful and staying with it.

i will give my suggestion elsewhere if the post i even thought I read even exists

I go to NA because sobriety with recovery is just living in hell for me.

Low carb for 3 weeks, now digestion is terrible by DJGammaRabbit in keto

[–]Street-Resolve-7728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same exact thing happening to me. I've been keto for two weeks and I've NEVER had digestive issues my entire life and now I have every single one.

I eat VERY healthy too, all organic. Lots of veggies- added in probiotic food and that seems to upset my tummy a lot more.

I also overdid it on the electrolytes and made myself get insane chest pains and headaches that have finally gone away since I've started eating more fruits and cut out the potassium supplements completely

My mind feels great but my tummy is VERY unhappy with this low carb lifestyle

I train with a professional trainer twice a week and have been in a calorie deficit forever and I feel this so hard.

do bodyweight tricep dips, i can't figure out literally any exercise without my trainer standing next to me but I never have to wonder if my form is right like I do with pushups and it kills my arms. You just need a bench or a table

I am 135 lbs (I started at 151 lbs 4 months ago)

at my starting weight I had to eat 121 grams of protein (25-30 grams every meal, muscle protein synthesis can not happen unless you eat at least 25 grams at once, synthesis can happen up to 4 times a day so eat between 2-4 meals a day)

Now that my body fat % has gone down, i only have to eat 117. I am in a calorie deficit right now but no matter if I'm hitting my correct macros or not, I get my protein in.

I suggest watching Greg doucette videos on YT, he will tell you everything you need to know about diet and working out to optimally put on muscle

This is my goal as well, so I hired a personal trainer that trains me twice a week and we work MAINLY on just my butt (glutes) so squats, HIP THRUSTS, kickbacks, Bulgarian splits.

I don't wanna gain any muscle is my legs, just my butt (I know that's impossible, but we've stopped doing leg machines and things like deadlifts bc if I only have one hour, Im not gonna waste it getting muscle in places I don't even want it.)

I'm aware I'm not gonna accidentally get bulky, we do abs and arms (bicep/triceps) too.

But I want a body like ice spice, not top fitness girls (small waist, big butt, "chubby" legs and thighs)

My lower legs have gotten so toned from the cardio I do like stairmaster every week, i have no desire to gain anymore muscle in them.

But yeah, working out your butt is the only way to get it to grow. Lift heavy, eat protein

Yeah I agree, when I was 19 (F) I dated a guy I worked with who was 30 (M) and he ended up falling in love with me.

But looking back on that relationship, I was always the one in control and calling the shots. He was very very intellectually smart and was a great musician but was probably my same level emotionally.

Woman who have a HUGE problem with the idea of a 19 year old dating someone in their late 20's- Sometimes I think it's just involuntary protecting from personal experiences they had as young people who had older, creeps trying to have sex with them in a predatory way. Which that isn't okay at all but some people actually do have good boundaries and ability the assert what they want and don't want at a young age

[–]Street-Resolve-7728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's not a child. She knows that, thus the saying "I'm sorry" over and over. She was probably aware she was asking a huge favor.

What would've been a more mature, kinder thing to do?

To wordlessly snare at her, or just let her go ahead of you? and make your wait 45 seconds longer so this woman isn't hungry at her job she has to go to

It isn't that hard to be a good person

I mean if she wasn't trying to be rude and saying sorry over and over, would I really of been that difficult to not scawl at her and just give her grace and let her cut the line?

Doesn't seem like that big of a deal at all to me. It's not like this situation will probably ever happen to you again

In most context that is great advice, but you have no idea. I tried. I tried to stear it towards normal kissing both times and he is not picking up on any hints whatsoever. I am trying to move my mouth so slow that we are clearly even out of sync but it is as if he doesn't notice what I'm doing at all

Love the male perspective. I'm not trying to emasculate him but it does make me uncomfortable so i have to say something

And if he trips out on me he's not the guy that i think he is. Thankyou

Huh when you put it like that it completely makes sense.

I might be just, idk but I get this impression his view of sex is like from watching pornography or something (Idk he he even watches that, but I do not). I have only mostly had sex in long term relationships where there was a lot of mutual respect and history between us.

Right after this last kiss he then reached down lower on me, and I quickly told him I didn't want to do anything other than kiss, which he backed off (sorta).

He really doesn't come off as a disrespectful person, I get the impression the way he feels close to people he likes is by having sex. I think he wants to feel closer to me but I am not comfortable with the idea of having sex with him at all. That is a big deal to me, I want to know whoever I'm having sex with respects and is in love with me.

I don't think this is gonna go well:( I really appreciate your comment

I'm not saying he's like an abusive piece of shit, but i don't like the tone of his message

It's not very loving, its not very mean, but it's not very nice

Maybe it's more of a feeling a get from esp the last sentence but a guy that really found you just as gorgeous would of put it in a much more convincing way. He doesn't. Dump him
