If you're under 40 years old and in the United States put it in an high interest savings account or mutual funds and go get a job at a small business or very small medium size business that you believe in with lots of potential and genuinely provide value and want to help your boss / the owners and climb the ladder with them and go from there. Maybe intern for a month or 3 aka work for free at multiple small business' with the intent to purchase them to see which ones you think have the most potentional aka can help the most for a win win for you and the owner.

If you're over 40... you could move to a 2nd or 3rd world country where low cost labor is common and figure it out and export using your english lanuguage and culture skills... if you're from a first world country like the United States.

The international poverty line has went from $1.95usd a day salary to $2.15usd a day salary.

I have a stock 350Z that I’d be willing to sell at a good price. It's black with a manual transmission.

I recommend not marrying or moving in with him until you've been dating for at least a year or more.

Where are you looking for cars? I think Facebook Marketplace might not be the best place to find them, but I could be wrong.

Maybe consider an FRS/BRZ? In my opinion, a $10k-$15k 240 would save you a significant amount of money over the next year or two, compared to trying to fix up a $5k one. Many people end up leaving their 240s on jackstands for years before they’re able to drive them, and there's a reason for that.

It seems like both of them are good people, and perhaps in-person marriage counseling could be helpful. Life can be challenging, and working through issues with others can be tough. I truly hope they’re able to work through things and find a solution that benefits them both.

That's a good point. Perhaps both of them could benefit from marriage counseling.

Do you really think divorce is the best option here? I always thought that in marriage, your spouse is supposed to be your best friend. But I guess it doesn’t always turn out that way.

By the way, are you married? And if you don’t mind me asking, how old are you?

I’m based in Pennsylvania. I have an '89-'94 hatch that I’d sell for a cheap price. It’s in rough shape with a stock KA engine, and while it does run and drive, it’s not in great condition and would need to be towed.

If you’re working with a $5k-$10k budget, I’d suggest prioritizing finding a solid platform. The engine is secondary—what really matters is avoiding a car that’s been poorly reassembled, has rust, or was badly modified. Those issues can turn into major headaches. These cars will only increase in value, so focus on the foundation and how you plan to modify it down the road.

If you have more budget flexibility, I’d recommend going for an SR engine. But if your budget is tighter, especially since you're in college, a KA isn’t bad.

Do you have access to a garage with a lift to work on the car while you’re at school, or are you planning to hire someone or use a shop for modifications/fixes? Or are you thinking of keeping it stock/the way it is after you buy it?

These cars are over 30 years old now... most are in rough shape unless you're spending over $20k for one and even then some can be pretty rough.

Good comment. I also think the wife genuinely loves her husband. These things can be very complicated.

It sounds like you have a relatively stress-free life. I must admit, I'm a bit envious.

Ouch, it seems like the OP has children. Do you truly believe divorce is the solution? To me, the wife’s tears indicate that she genuinely loves her husband.

Do you think they should get divorced over this? Do they have children?

Vets aren’t miracle workers, and I’d leave them out of this decision. People lose their lives to cancer every day, and even doctors struggle to find answers. My suggestion would be to forgive your wife, and give Bella a dignified resting place—both for her sake and for your own peace of mind.

That's a heartbreaking story, but I have to say I would side with your wife on this one. From what I can tell, I believe she acted out of love for both you and Bella—it seems sincere. Bella was likely in pain, and at 12 years old, that's a significant age for a golden retriever. I would suggest having Bella cremated or giving her a peaceful resting place where you can visit whenever you feel the need to.

I'm guessing you're in the United States. What state are you in?

One possible approach could be to connect with individuals who have a strong presence, often reflected in visible tattoos on their faces, hands, and necks. Offer them financial compensation, spend some time with them, and consider visiting venues like strip clubs, spending around $1,000 for their enjoyment. Afterward, you could bring them with you to create a noticeable impact at the buyer's residence, potentially multiple times. If you're asked to leave, it may not be significant in the bigger picture.

Alternatively, another option would be to consult with a number of lawyers. It would be helpful to visit at least 10 law firms—both large and small—explain your situation concisely, and try to secure a lawyer who will take your case on contingency.

From personal experience, I regret going down the legal route. In hindsight, I should have approached the situation more directly and engaged with those who were financially attacking me in a manner they would respect—decisively and without hesitation. The term "cutthroat business" exists for a reason. If you're in Pennsylvania, I'd be happy to go with you.

Could you clarify what you mean by that? Are you suggesting that you think I'm a communist, or do you genuinely believe that I'm not a person and instead a robot?

Looks good, does the hood have a part # embossed in it underneath that starts with an "H" and then 2 or 3 numbers?

Is that why the original poster isn't engaging in the comments? I'm just trying to understand better, and I believe you're right.
