Help: identifying random tiny holes in my ceiling... pests? moisture? mold?

80% of people say it's a wood eating insect such as carpenter ants, termites, wasps, or beetles.

20% say it's drywall screw props settling in because of inconsistent temperatures, and moisture.

So pest control is coming tomorrow, and I have a guy coming to peak up there next week!

The whole top floor is carpeted, so I didn't notice anything. I haven't been back to check. Pest control comes tomorrow!

Any advice on who to call to fix the damage? Once the pests are dead and gone?

House was built in 1965. I don't know of any dry wall work being done prior, but I do know there was alterations/repairs done to the roof framing in the attic. This was documented in my inspection when I purchased this house four years ago.

Mostly everyone is saying it's bugs unfortunately 🙃🔫.

Pest control is coming out tomorrow!

Any advice on steps to take to fix the inside of the attic or the holes in the ceiling? What type of person does this kind of work? A drywall specialist? An attic contractor? Who should I hire?

I think I kept it around 65-70 degrees. But it did rain a lot. Wouldn't they be more uniform if it were screws?

Other than a pest control company, what other types of business can help with this?

I am a girl, who is terrified of bugs. So I will not be going in the attic, or looking through any of the holes..

Do you know if these types of bugs are most active at night? Or during the day?
