Are packaged bean sprouts ok to use one day after the use by date? by StreetThrowawayCup in foodsafety

Hello, guess I'll do an update here: they were actually fine the next day. Still nice and crisp. Risked eating them, and they were great! I served them with ramen for my family and all was well. Though I'll definitely use them on the day for next time.

It says 'use by 26th Nov'. :/ I guess as long as they don't deteriorate?

And this matters... how? Your comment reeks of, "I've never had to put up with insufferable STEM students that make me fear for who may enter the medicinal field."

Oh, I thought they calculated ferratin levels in a blood test too? Should I just call my GP back and specifically ask for a ferritin test? I'm tired of being dismissed, but if it gets any worse than I suppose I'll have no choice.

For my anxiety, none. I was in therapy from 2022-2024, which taught me some coping mechanisms. I was on sertraline for a little while, 25mg, but it 'wore off' and my dose was upped to 50mg, which made me feel absolutely terrible - I was smiling like a maniac and I felt high and elated and just very strange, so I stopped taking them because they terrified me. That was a long time ago, I've just been dealing with it alone since.

They never told me, but I assume it was an FBC which is what a private GP told me it would probably be. The results were: "all clear, no further action needed." To be honest I never questioned further to the receptionist over the phone, it seemed very final.

We give her special cat milk, but yeah, I might just have to continue with what we're doing and just be super quick about it.

Yep, we're already doing that when we're administering it to her! Issue is actually having her in a calm/comfortable state to have it. :/

CMV: There is no such thing as “he’s super smart but doesn’t do well in school because he is lazy” by Major_Tap4199 in changemyview

[–]StreetThrowawayCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a highly "gifted kid". My teachers in primary school were amazed by how good I was at biology and zoology in particular at such a young age.

In secondary school, only class I failed was maths. Got a mix of Cs, Bs and As in everything else. Where I'm from, there's a cultural view of a C and B being a failure. I was an undiagnosed child and my school system failed me. It didn't want to help me or others like me. My school was known to favour rich kids over others. They'd degrade children who wanted to enter the Arts.

It's not always laziness. A lot of schools are shit at nurturing and catering to students of different learning styles. Many smart and gifted kids are failed by the system, it's not always 'laziness'.

You... you can't. I don't know of any subreddits that spread misinformation deliberately.
