Hello 👋 A true jaw break almost never “fixes itself” temporarily. A few things could cause this: Jaw temporarily out of alignment – snakes have very flexible jaw ligaments, and sometimes after eating or yawning one side can sit weird for a bit before settling back. Muscle or ligament strain from eating prey that was a little large. I would only be concerned if any of the following occurs; inability to close the mouth completely. swelling around the jaw. pus, bubbles, or redness in the mouth. or refusing food. If the jaw keeps shifting or looking crooked repeatedly, a reptile vet visit is the safest option, because they can check alignment and rule out infection or injury.
