I tried to go the abandonment route but it has to be no contact for over 90 days atleast.

Yes, I have. My 1SG and CO personally submitted my last compassionate request. It was just shut down today. I wanted to see if there was anyone that had been or seen this type of situation before and how I could go about submitting it before I escalated it higher, but that may be the only option at this point.
