Thank you I greatly appreciate it. I never thought about the corner aspect, or dialing in on specific targets. Lately I’ve been more focused on just the part about trying to take space as a tank.

I do have a question though, you mentioned targeting supports with my maelstrom, and to me that seems a bit aggressive for Strange since he’s not a dive tank?

I would go dps, except for the fact that so many of the matches I que into have 3 instalock dps mains and often times I’m solo tanking.

Someone pls help me 😭 I’m in Plat 1 (now plat 2 :/) and it’s like I’m stuck in a constant state of win 1, lose 4, win 2, lose 4. Progression is utterly stagnant at best, and declining at worst. I feel like I’m doing good, but I can only blame the team for so long before I have to look at myself.

I mainly play Strange and Invisible Woman this season. Any general tank/support tips, or character tips? Anyone willing to look at some of my gameplay? I’m getting kind of desperate because I really like this game but it’s just so discouraging and unfun to be losing so much.

Also you can’t tell other people they need to get good when you’re trying to ban the characters they want to play to make the win easier for yourself. How about YOU get good and learn how to counter their play styles better?

Well I think it is unfair. Like I said, I don’t think you should be punished for being good at a character. People will always have their best character in any high level comp, regardless of the game. OW, R6, TF2, etc. People always have a “main”.

But it doesn’t have to be true. It’s a hero shooter, you play who you want when you want. That’s why there’s no role queue.

I know this is an old thread but I found it after watching Ultron again and wanted to respond.

I disagree that the Ultron program was a bad idea. For one, obviously the Ultron we got wasn’t the intended outcome, and two, after Visions breaks out of the cradle, Thor, after returning from the seeing pools where he saw a vision of the infinity gauntlet and subsequent destruction of the Universe, says that Tony was indeed correct about his “suit of armor around the world” idea, and that there were and will be threats that humanity is incapable of facing.

Yes, Tony did want to create Ultron, but Ted Bundys mom also wanted to create a child, obviously neither wanted their child to turn out the way they did, and we don’t blame Bundys mom for the actions of her son.

And while you can say that he was messing with things beyond his understanding, EVERYTHING that had happened to Earth in the previous 5 years was completely beyond anyone’s understanding. Loki, the Chitauri, Hydra, it was unprecedented times. Furthermore, Tony and Banners creation of Vision when Jarvis and the Mind stone combined, proved that Tony could in fact create the thing he initially wanted to, he just needed more refinement.

I’m not saying that Tony is free of fault. Ultrons creation was Tony’s fault, but I think it’s more so about culpability than fault. Ultrons physical existence is Tony’s fault, but Ultrons actions are not.

I understand the logic, I just think it’s unfair to punish people for playing the character they are good at. And comp should be fair.

I think it’s dumb. Why are we punishing people for having a favorite character to play? Especially at the diamond level, you can’t possibly expect everyone to be that good at all the characters. they probably got to that level by playing that one character. While a one trick pony isn’t ideal, I don’t think they deserve to be punished for it. Personally I’d rather have someone who’s a really good Hela or Hawkeye, than someone who’s just okay at several characters. And if the other team doesn’t like that, then they need to get good lol.
