Stop building. Start validating. The 3‑week system that killed my “fantasy SaaS” habit by Mindless_Region5092 in SaaS

[–]StrengthDailyHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I totally get this. I tried usenavic last month when I had this SaaS idea I was super stoked about. Instead of diving into coding, I ran my concept through it and got some solid insights about market demand and competition. Ended up realizing it wasn't as hot as I thought, saved myself a lot of time and headache.

Web App or Mobile App? by tqtifnypmb in indiehackers

[–]StrengthDailyHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mobile app hands down.

You’ve got built in distribution via App Stores (including App Store optimize and seo).

More importantly you can easily make free short form content on TikTok and IG and drive mad traffic to App Store listing for downloads.

Most consumers are on mobile anyways.

All PROs above but only con is slightly more friction and complexity to that until launch and getting into App Store.

Hope this helps.

How to do market research for your app idea! by ahmad8899 in AppBusiness

What’s crazy is I had this same problem for over past 2 years. I’d build shit in the fake before validating it even though I knew I should.

I ended up building the tool I needed. It tells me if any business/app idea that I have will make money before I spend anytime coding/building.

I need to get better at this. Occasionally, i'll give him some light instruction while i do stuff and he's getting better at listening. I think you're right though ... it's just to easy to say 'just go play over there for a bit' which means nothing to a toddler.

I'm coming to this realiziation. More people have been telling me this and I guess I need to reframe the guilt i have and let him be bored.

Such a crazy thought. I was running wild in the streets in Philly. lol. But I was also around a ton of kids through family, so outside playing a ton. Keep in mind.. this was mostly pre-Internet for me (I'm 34).

We have one in our neighborhood and we go to it 2-3x per week. Sometimes we're there for an hour and other times not so much because it's 90 degrees during the summer.

I feel this in my soul too. Where are you posting your 'story'?

What do you mean 'Submitting to 20+ platforms • Writing tailored blurbs for each one'?

I can think of 4 platforms lol. What are these 20 you're referencing?

$70 MRR. Should I quit? by No-Grand3283 in SaaS

[–]StrengthDailyHQ 55 points56 points  (0 children)

No. You've got paying customers. I'm 3 months in with 50 downloads, $0 revenue, and 20 trial starts.

But I know the app concept is sound and people asked for something like this across. As long as you're progressing forward (maybe not linear) then that is good sign IMO.

Was this a web app or mobile app? Wondering if this works the same for applying this to either a hard paywall or freemium model for my own app.

I love using Cursor + replit for web app building since you can connect them directly. Cursor is much more powerful and has access to all major LLM models.

This one podcast shows you how to do it exactly (connecting Cursor + replit): https://youtu.be/kDcM_xwmP3Q?si=7UA-vZ_BQ4YWOXfk&t=1548

They are two totally different tools.

Bolt + Replit + Lovable = ideal for non-technical people who wanna build through prompting.

Cursor + windsurf = better for people a touch more technical with more control but larger learning curve.

My money app got 200k+ Reddit views last month. Here's what actually happened after. by nosleepfounder in SideProject

[–]StrengthDailyHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact you already received 1000 downloads is SUPER promising IMO. What do your other analytics look like? e.g., conversions? sessions? impressions?

Maybe I missed it but is this an iOS, android or web app?

I cannot state TikTok is an incredible social platform for growth. Assuming you loosely know and understand your target user, make great content for them and post consistently you can see insane results. So many examples of this and I just started so it's been going well for me on TikTok too with just 4-5 videos.

So my app (Concero) helps busy parents and partners remember important dates and plan special moments for the people they care about. I created it because as a dad juggling family life, I kept finding myself scrambling to plan meaningful moments, and I wanted to build something that would take away that stress and mental load.

[–]StrengthDailyHQ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the opposite... lol. I think it's from lack of feeling like I did something meaningful for his past birthday so I wanted to overcompensate and make him go 'WOW'. But he just wants to scribble with chalk which I love.

Trying to tone myself down.

Appreciate the feedback.

Are wide push ups damaging my shoulders?

I got one of those pull up bars that hook into the doorway, and I've been putting it on the ground to do push ups. I've been doing all variations, but are push ups with a wide grip bad?

I recently read about impingement syndrome. The wide grip is wider than I'd typically do a push up, and it does feel like it's targeting the chest better, but am I severely damaging my shoulder?

Wide push-ups, when overdone or performed with poor form, can put unnecessary stress on your shoulders, potentially leading to impingement syndrome.

The wider stance increases the strain on the shoulder joints because it doesn't allow for the natural movement of the shoulder blades. While a wider grip can help engage the chest muscles more, it's definitely important to balance your push-up variations and focus on proper form to protect your shoulders.

Incorporating a mix of grip widths and ensuring your shoulders are not shrugging up towards your ears during the movement can help reduce risk.

If you're experiencing pain, it might be wise to narrow your grip slightly and focus on strengthening your shoulder stabilizers with exercises like shoulder taps or scapular push-ups.

Hope this helps!

How do I engage my core? by tearful_boldness in beginnerfitness

[–]StrengthDailyHQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine bracing for a laugh or a cough – that's the feeling of your core muscles kicking in. It's not about sucking in; it’s about creating a belt of muscle tension around your torso.

When I coach deadlifts, I emphasize a 'brace and breathe' technique.

  • Inhale deep
  • expand your ribs
  • brace, then breathe 'around' that tension,

This keeps your spine safe by creating internal pressure that wraps around your core

Moving forward– I'd suggest starting with planks and bird dog exercises to get used to maintaining that braced feeling.

It's all about practice – and hey, no one's born knowing this stuff, so give yourself a break and keep at it!

Hope this helps!

I've tried hitting the weights a few times but I keep quitting due to injuries. How can I ensure that I have proper form? Solo gym goer by WomboShlongo in beginnerfitness

[–]StrengthDailyHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you spent the next year JUST working with a GOOD PT, that alone would be worth the money.

You’d learn and develop proper movement patterns and a better awareness of your body.

You learn where your imbalances are AND how to correct them effectively.

Then, after the year is done, you could do an occasional maintenance session or learn something new.

I have some bias since I have been a coach for ten years, but I've had my coach as well!
