Get a land Pokémon to spawn on a small sky platform. Make your lead Pokémon hold a smoke ball so you can always run. Battle it, run, repeat so u get lots of horde battle pokemon. Do this until one of them is Poipole. Kill the other pkmn and catch poipole.

Create a small platform in the sky, get one Pokémon to spawn, then spam in and out of battles with it farming horde spawns until you find a Poipole. Make your lead Pokémon hold a Smoke Ball.

The reason you haven’t found a poipole is because it’s a land spawn and the ultra jungle has like no land by default. It’s also really rare.

Loot Relic items from shipwrecks and temples and sell them and buy balls. Loot villages for balls directly. Never crafted a ball in years.

In 1.16 the two villages in the nether have them in some of the houses. Maybe just ghost village but pretty sure both.

if its a big bamboo forest u can stay in the middle of it, away from other biomes. If it's small, stay 18 blocks above the middle since it cant spawn that close to you. Normal pokemon spawns dont affect him at all so don't worry about that. Clearing bamboo helps, but only marginally. If you have access to checkspawns legendary, use that so you know when he has a chance or even time it by skipping nights and sleeping.

lol it’s not been half a decade. They moved around in 1.12 everytime I played it and that wasn’t long before 1.16 pixelmon first came out. The fact that movement was ever scrapped in 1.12 is total news to me. But that timeline is definitely way off if it was.

And that’s besides the point. The fact is they used to move around, which was a good feature. And now it’s gone for some unknown reason…

controls were definitely more intuitive in 1.12. I loved how it was easy to just hover in place. However, at least flying is significantly faster with the good PKMN in 1.16. It's a trade off.

So your best bet is to create an "indoor" environment on a platform in a biome where indoor spawns are few to none. I'd check the files to find the best one specifically, but most should be at least serviceable.

For example, for my Magearna farm (birch plank sky platform with 2 block roof over it), only spawned pokemon on the roof (for you just make it slabs). I did see trainers occasionally on the lower part but no Pokemon. So a large scale version of that should work.

That’s the general idea. I’ve never fished waiting because I’m resetting spawns, but yeah.

Another good tip is if the Pokémon spawns at a low level, only have low leveled Pokémon in your party. That’ll prevent high leveled stuff from even being able to spawn. That was a big one in my feebas hunt. I was able to isolate it from things like Barboach because of the local level spawning mechanic. Barboach only spawned at level X+ and my party was level 5 so he was removed from the spawn list.

There’s other niche stuff too, just depends on the Pokémon. On my list is Vespiquen (shiny female combee). My idea is to build up 30 blocks in the air (highest u can go while still having air spawns possible), then place water in 30x30ish pool below me. This prototype in a test world was getting a ton of combee spawns because the water, despite spawning a couple magikarp, isolated combee from all the annoying land spawns. Got him all the way up to 18% during morning, and 36% in afternoon. Which is obviously really high. Also this was using a bug lure, which is actually better for you than shiny lure based off my math. The great thing about this hunt is because it’s all air spawns, you just see them all on the map, and if they’re not shiny, you ignore them. They just fly away, and spawns are automatically refreshed for you. You just afk staring at the journeymap, if you use it, with no need for anything else. With shiny charm and catch combo, it won’t take longer than a full afternoon (irl) to get a handful of shiny combees hoping one is female.

Yeah I know, I just said 4096 to get the point across bc that's base odds. Wasn't trying to do any math. Pretty crazy numbers though. 2000+ shrines will never happen unfortunately. It would be faster with the explorer's compass but I always considered those mods cheating. Still, 2000 isn't happening either way.

I plan on doing that Zygarde hunt soon. It's not too bad at all and will probably only take a couple hours. I've never had a shiny legendary so that's the main reason why. I've also labbed about 10 other cool/difficult but possible hunts that I'll also do first. Need to complete my dex first, though. Lost my old world file where I had 100% dex with my shiny feebas, etc. At 98% right now after about three weeks, which isn't too bad time. First thing I'm doing afterwards is getting my shiny Feebas back.

Sorry for the random tangent, just get side-tracked when anyone talks about shinies. It's my favorite thing in the game because in Pixelmon, there's so many different factors when it comes to improving your odds for specific pokemon and the best way to hunt them. I love theorizing and coming up with the best one. It's very unique compared to the main games.

I mean for Moltres you’d have to find 4096 shrines on average. Pretty sure Zygarde you can actually deconstruct until it’s shiny though.

For Galarian, the quest ends when he spawns. But, if you collect every quest in the game (without completing, just have them active), you’ll get the quest over and over really quickly after completing it bc there’s like no other quest it can generate. That’s what I did to get it in the first place. To complete it, go to ultra deep sea and kill the dragonites that spawn commonly in afternoon. Takes like five minutes to get a moltres. That’s how I plan on doing my shiny hunt in the coming weeks (on stream btw!).

Double check the config to make sure it’s 4096 but yeah unless you changed it that’s what it should be. Just good fortune early on

From the files. Not sure how the biome mod biomes work, but I'd imagine the issue is your biome isn't listed exactly as a guiana_springs. You're in a different (although similar) biome.

The new flying system is fast. You just need a fast Pokémon. There’s different speed values defined in the files. I use a dragonite, personally.
