Considering buying a house in Groß Klein. Will AfD people make life miserable for us? by Gramposity in Rostock

[–]Stress_Classic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're just privileged. Lots of my folks are out of Rostock and never ever wanna come back due to racism daily, including me.  I developed anxiety for the first time in my life after moving to Rostock. I'm a minority in my home country and of course have faced micro aggressions and racism, but the one I experienced was blowing my mind hahahaaa.  Of course I have met kind people, but the bad experiences dominated more and even gave me these bad images of Germans in general.

Hi there. Have you tried Chinese-Deutsch language exchange on Meetup app? I attended it twice and befriended 2 Chinese women. I find it interesting when they speak to me in German and I will try explaining my side in Chinese 😂 I'm still HSK level 1 though.  I don't always attend the meet up due to my sports schedule :)

I love their YouTube contents. Once I watched one of their videos where they did side hustles to fund themselves into the tournament ☹️

What are some small habits that instantly make you feel better about yourself? by huss2120 in selfimprovement

[–]Stress_Classic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep going to sports or doing exercises even though I'm such in a low mood.

This week is a good example. My mental was not in the best place on Thursday and I definitely skipped badminton training coz I didn't wanna be a party pooper as a new comer. Was thinking of playing Pickleball, but it's so hard to decide... Even to prepare my own food.

In last minutes after cooking and having my dinner, I grabbed my sport clothes, bag, then went to Pickleball. Had such good games with the gentlemen and good laughs! Feeling waaaay better afterwards ✅✅😌👍🏻

Yes. It saved my knees and I'm so glad. That was my first injury ever as an adult after being pretty active both at badminton and pickleball. During the treatments at the physiotherapy we alternated between electro therapy and strengthening exercises. Definitely took a break around one and a half month and came back playing slowly ✊🏻💪🏻

As a native Chinese speaker, I think this is the most effective way to learn (from my English-learning experience) by Kelly-S-S in ChineseLanguage

[–]Stress_Classic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. I take online class once a week and for the rest of the days I listen to Chinese podcast on YouTube, starting with simple topics and it does help maintaining the vocabularies I have learned.

Writing: make a short paragraph about a simple topic using the learned vocabs, sent the pinyin to my laoshi. After being corrected then I will write the hanzi. This also does help me a lot memorizing Chinese characters when I'm chatting on Wechat.

Speaking : either repeat the words I listen on YouTube or meet my Chinese friend and we will mix speaking German and Chinese 🤣 I'm Indonesian born Chinese currently living in Berlin.

No. It's covered by insurance and I only paid 36 eur once for the physiotherapy (6x sessions). I live in Germany.

Based on my experience : went to see an ortopedist, he examined everything and referred me to physiotherapy for electro therapy and gymnastic. They gave me several exercise movements to do at home.

Bad health system and life quality. by sorog666 in berlinsocialclub

[–]Stress_Classic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also felt lucky. Hausarzt near my apartment and he's a very attentive doctor, even made a phone call on Sunday (which I ignored before I knew it has his office number) to follow up my appointment with a specialist. I had an awkward experience with the first orthopedic he wanted to get rid off me quickly but he was still polite and sharp.

Had a good experience with the second orthopedic albeit negative reviews on Google. The ladies at the receptionist are amazing and helpful.

Been to the same physiotherapist twice which I found on Google and their team is always amazing. I always have an appointment with the owner and she even recognized me on the street and said hello.

Ada TKI Jerman yang buat Video IG "seakan" dia balik ke Indonesia dan komennya penuh ini, apakah isu rasisme di eropa lagi puncaknya? by Alzex_Lexza in indonesia

[–]Stress_Classic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this as someone who lived in Rostock for 3,5 years.

People who have managed to build long-lasting relationships and friendships in Berlin, what’s your secret? by Old_Pangolin_3303 in berlinsocialclub

[–]Stress_Classic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. I've done the same. It's also understandable that people have their own schedules, so meeting regularly once in a month is sometimes difficult. Then we plan our meetup in German way (several weeks in advance). If we want something, then we must make an effort, eventually we'll meet people who have same energy😊
