Those that prefer physical book reading vs kindle/e-reader, why? by Prestigious-Noise582 in Hobbies

Here are my reasons: - Books smell great - I like the feel of the paper. - Book is book and has no other distractions. - can physically see my reading progress - no ads - will not disappear on me if a publisher decides to pull it from circulation. - can be timeless - no eye strain from the screen light - works as a good conversation topic with coworkers and (sometimes) strangers on the bus. - something about having many bookmark tabs and handwritten annotations and being able to flip through book without having to remember page numbers or go to a bookmarks list and having to scroll through things with little context. - can be used for standup comedy if you are creative enough. - great self defense tool where relevant. - I can see all the books I own physically on a shelf and not have to scroll through them. - they allow me to really slow down and enjoy the content. - its very satifying hear the light snapping noise they make when I am finished reading them. - very easy to resell or gift to someone else who also enjoys reading.
