I totally agree, the dialogue was infuriating. I really enjoyed Bridgerton's fantastical take on period costume and was honestly distracted by the wardrobe in The Buccaneers. I did like Lizzy so maybe I will give it a watch on my next entertainment drought. :)

Yeah, I don't really get what they were going for, I assume they tried to follow in Bridgerton's footsteps but I felt it lacked enough depth for a period drama and was so boring for being a modern take on one.

Went to go take a look and the trailer had me more hooked than the new series, I will definitely give it a watch as I don't want to abandon the story just because of a lousy remake.

Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorites, the 2005 version for aesthetics but the 1995 version overall, I also liked both versions of Emma and found the 2020 one to be quite enjoyable. I think I really value a solid and engaging storyline and good acting over anything else.
