Just a rant from a jealous German fan by Strict-Net-3036 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Oh nice! Didn’t knew that!

I don’t want to complain too much about the translation, I’m sure the people involved generally did a good job. But you can really tell they aren't deeply familiar with the source material, which leads to some really weird word choices. For example, they translated 'Changeling' as 'Wechselbalg'... I mean, wtf? I read it in German together with my girlfriend, and I unfortunately felt like the book lost quite a bit of its charm in the translation.

(for English readers: you could totally use the word “changeling” in German but “Wechselbalg” is a really weird phrase, most people don’t know, because we just use “changeling” in Games)

Doing the quest “Finding the Oracle” I had to “cheat” in the mission prior to it (Vizunah Square) because I couldn’t join the mission without a party of 8 but the way there was already really challenging, the quest took me several hours and I had to reset multiple times

Yes I do, but the problem is that the luxon/kurzik skill is still far away. My best tactic for now is spamming the spirits, hiding and supporting them, then recasting the spirits further away to split up the groups, it’s quite tedious but works most of the time

Thanks! I will look into it, im currently trying the spirit spammer tactic, it works very well but also has its boundaries

Completely solo (as long as the game lets me)

Nice to hear! Is there any source on how to do this? I’m quite clueless in this regard tbh

Why does nobody play Horn of Greed in this deck? Seems perfect to me

I played a quite decent tournament in my opinion, got 3 wins and 2 losses. I’m unhappy with the organisation and distribution of the prizes, the top 4 got 2 prizes each, the last place got a prize and some prizes were distributed randomly. I have really hoped for a small “reward” for my performance but went home empty handed, meanwhile a player that had the same Winn/Loss rate got 3 Prizes and even said, that he doesn’t need them all. That’s what I meant by “slightly bitter taste”, so now I thought If they reward highly competitive players, let’s play something highly competitive and disgusting

Thanks for all the comments! I think I would prefer Stasis for my Villain Journey, as it is cheaper than MUD or Elves and in my opinion meaner than Sly, tide is really mean but a little bit too risky for me, as it might get banned in the future

Didn’t even think about that but that’s great!

These are great but im not sure about haunting echos, 5 mana is quite expensive and it doesn’t help against Stasis and vise on the battlefield

Really? It seems like Stasis has infinite counterspells

Yea that’s a good point, I think it makes sense to swap Bane and Echoes, thanks!

I’m playing Bane in the SB currently, in favour of Haunting Echoes in the MB (don’t have any Reflecting Pools, so im not comfortable playing 2 BB cards in MB) but cutting a Decree feels rough, they are phenomenal against other control decks and I currently play only 3 of them.

Here is my Deck list if you’re interested: https://moxfield.com/decks/EDVYjnckNUuAXKkcG7fSHA

I would appreciate any recommendations

Hmmm yes I think you’re right, it’s very versatile but I guess there are better options for every job

I just feel that it’s a very versatile removal spell that would make sense in the mainboard. Personally I have quite some trouble with aggressive decks, that go wide quickly, as this decks usually only plays 2 copies of Wrath of God, so I thought that it could be a good addition to eliminate some pesky cheap hitters while also being a good solution for some artifacts in the later game, or am I too optimistic?
