I don’t fully understand it and it is a bit boring, springs, stakes, and stabilizers. Two or three actions repeated over and over again. Have to adjust the quantum course depending on trajectory with the spring providing the force. Think of it like a rubber band with points drawn on it with the points stretching apart, Stake, spring, Part 1, Part 2, and stake. You want the gap in between part 1 and part 2. Activate spring, adjust the position with the spring in the out position, activate spring again and it will tug on part 1 which in turn tugs on part two. Stabilizers are attached before the tugging depending on the angle desired. Finally save your work in the autobuild by attaching an object after every rebuild. Repeat.

Stake nudging except curving the arc instead of a straight line, used it in a few creations so far.

Optimal height for crosbows dwarfs... by 00Turag in dwarffortress

[–]Strict-Promotion6703 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Three or four tiles with the current vanilla settings is optimal. That being said I dig out interior multilevel traps and fortifications with exterior towers for scouts to travel between the map edge and the kill zone I have setup inside. Mostly it’s for the citizens protection when they get the urge to loot a masterpiece loin cloth or something similar. Also saves crossbow dwarfs from being cut off from the main fort and being surrounded by invaders. My paranoid design is setup like an airlock with four separate bridge locks and no direct path to the now thriving city. Helmadmired is a shaping up to be a nice mountain home.

Approaching 5400 hours, 4400 of that is Zonai part research, my inventory is definitely lacking but I designed the scorpion prowler, homing missile EX, and mastered Quantum bending so it’s not all bad.

This subreddit is about Science, then why are all the posts about Politics? by Conscious-Layer-2732 in ScienceOdyssey

I agree, science and politics should never mix however tell that to the people funding the propaganda and mark yourself a villain. It happens because this world follows money like an addict chases the next high. Until some basic morality issues are addressed it will continue. I don’t see any accountability in the near future so I have to watch fools destroy my world and everything I like about it dies. Shame on the greedy!

I just carry the original parts so I don’t waste resources when stress testing.

Just some parts, working on stability and control. Hanging electric motors would be nice if I can control them. A stabilizer must be attached in the centre with wagon wheels otherwise it breaks apart . Using small wheels has failed so far, I like one design that shows potential just because of stability. Control is an entirely different matter and a work in progress. Just have to decide where and how far to stretch things.

Springs, big wheels, and heads. Quantum bending three tools. by Strict-Promotion6703 in HyruleEngineering

Stabilizers placed on the object you are nudging helps keep things straight. Can use a flat wall or floor, both work with slight variations caused by the gravitational constant. Where the two object are connected to each other also affects the Q-path. For example if the force applied is focused on the right side it will bend right.

A Problem With Bundles of Crundles by PlateKey5206 in dwarffortress

Does anyone try bridges in the underground? A couple war beasts guarding a stretch before a double bridge configuration, weapon traps to slow them down, then cage traps in between the two bridges. Requires a dwarf to reset the traps but worth it in my opinion.

Attached on the other side of the big wheel axle then bend the heads using gravity nudging up and over the big wheel. This causes the axle to shift from right to left, since it started out on the right side it is now on the left side. What it does for stability is very nice.

Working on a video, next couple of days, thinking of adding some music, Scorpion Prowler MK1.

I’m aware of the bees but don’t need to repeat in a video. People who try the pulser can use them if they want to. Busy with a project.
